Gray Zone Warfare has a ton of tasks that the many vendors will ask you to complete, and they will sometimes clash with one another and offer you different sets of rewards. The Congressman is one example that has two vendors gunning for the same thing, and in this guide, we will be showing you how to complete this relatively simple quest.
The Congressman / Felony & Punishment Quest Guide | Mithras
Before we begin, it should be noted that this guide is labeled specifically for the Mithras faction, but members of the other two should have no issue following along as the steps will be exactly the same. The only difference will be where your base is located, which may affect your travel time.
In the event that you are a member of Mithras Security Systems, you are going to be traveling in between the other two factions’ bases as this mission takes place in Midnight Sapphire up north.
If you have the vendor named Banshee unlocked by this point, The Congressman is going to be done in tandem with his Felony & Punishment task. They both have the same objective, but we’ll get to the rewards further below.
Finding the Smartphone
Basically, the mission is simply to retrieve a lost smartphone within the Whitewater Villas at Midnight Sapphire. The specific coordinates for where it can be found (174x, 166y) will be shown in the map image below.
It is inside a building labeled Villa Erica, and while it does not require a key to open, you have to be careful as there are many AI enemies roaming this general area.
The way in to the compound is through the large open gate leading into the garage, and you should see the main entrance to the building on your left.
Upon entering the villa, turn to the left and proceed down the hallway. At the very end, enter the bedroom to your left and you should see the lost smartphone on the ground behind a chair.
Once you have it, you can call in a helicopter for extraction. Try your best to stay alive, as you need to return to base with the smartphone on hand. If you die, you’ll have to find it again.
Your nearest landing zone will likely be at Hotel 1, which is just past the tree line to the northeast. As a member of Mithras Security Systems, be on the lookout for hostile players that may be roaming around.
The Different Rewards
Both Handshake and Banshee want the smartphone for different reasons, but this has no real bearing on future tasks. The only consequence to choosing a side at the moment is merely losing out on a small reputation gain from the vendor you didn’t choose.
The rewards for completing either task are the following:
- The Congressman (Handshake) – One M4A1, a significant chunk of cash and experience, and Handshake reputation.
- Felony & Punishment (Banshee) – Six pieces of M26 frag grenades, the same amount of cash and experience, and Banshee reputation.
My personal recommendation is to simply hand it over to Banshee for the reputation gain alone, as you’ll be swamped with Handshake tasks throughout your career anyway.
