The best thing about being a vampire is that you get your very own castle in V Rising. After all, are you really a vampire unless you own a castle? In the newest Secrets of Gloomrot update for V Rising, the game now allows the castle to have a second floor. There is, however, a bit of a problem. When making stairs to your second floor, there is no roof covering the stairs, so you can get caught by the sun. In this guide, I will be showing you how to cover your stairs with roofs.

How to Cover Stairs with Roofs

  1. Place a pillar on the corner of your stairs.
  2. Ensure the base of your stairs has walls around the exterior.
  3. Stand on the upper floor and face the wall’s desired destination at an angle.

Detailed Walkthrough

The first thing you need to do before anything else is to place pillars on both sides of the start of the stairs. You will need two if your stairs are not next to the door. But if your stairs are next to the door, then you will only need one.

Once you have your pillar secured, make sure that at the base of your stairs, there are walls surrounding the entire exterior.

Now that you have the pillar and walls around your stairs, go up to the second floor and look at the top of the walls. Enter build mode and select the walls you want and place them on top of the walls on the ground floor. The walls will automatically generate a roof over the stairs.
