Ark Survival Ascended: How To Play Winter Wonderland Singleplayer OR Unofficial Server

Ark Survival Ascended has recently come out with the Winter Wonderland mod or update in celebration of the festive season.

This in game event is a sequel to previous Christmas events, which consists of Christmas themed creatures, items, pets and so on. In essence, it adds a fun new twist to the game that players are already familiar with.

However, you may get confused, as many players have, when trying to access the Winter Wonderland update for single player or for an unofficial server.

There doesn’t seem to be clear instructions on how exactly one is supposed to do it. Not to worry, we have you covered. In this guide, we will show you how to do exactly that. Let’s dive in!

How To Play Winter Wonderland Singleplayer OR Unofficial Server

Starting off, you will need to go to the Main Menu. Here, you want to select the Mods List option.

Inside the Mods List menu, search for the Winter Wonderland mod. More than likely, it will appear at the front since it is an Event Update from the game developers themselves. Once you find it, click on it.

In the Winter Wonderland Menu, you want to click on the Install option. Once installed, return to the Main Menu as you did at the start of the process.

In the Main Menu, select the option that says Create or Resume Game.

In this menu, start by selecting the Available Mods option in the Mod Settings category. After that, scroll down until you find the Winter Wonderland mod that you just installed.

Select the mod and choose the Activate Mod option.

Once you have activated the Mod, select the Update option to make sure the settings update properly. Doing so will enable the Mod for single player.

If you want to do this for the server, you will need to copy the Mod ID of the Winter Wonderland Update.

You can do this by going to the following website: wc_modding’s Projects Page on Curse Forge.

Once the mod settings have been taken care of, you can select the Single Player option in the bottom right corner of the screen to start the game.

However, one more step remains, and you can do that when you load into the game.

When you’re in the game, you will need to open the Command Console. You can do this by hitting the ~ Key (underneath the Esc Key).

In the Command Console, type the following command in: DestroyWildDinos. After that, select the option that appears in autocomplete.

After that enter the command in, and this will activate all the Winter Wonderland Commands.

The Winter Wonderland update will come into effect when it hits 00:00 in in-game time. You can speed things up by entering the following command into the Command Console: SetTimeOfDay 23:59.

Once the clock hits 00:00, the Winter Wonderland content will start spawning in.

You will know the mod is in effect when you start hearing spooky sounds of Raptor Claus laughing! Now, you can explore the world and enjoy the Winter Wonderland content.
