Leveling up in Gray Zone Warfare can be pretty hard, especially if you are new to realistic and harsh extraction shooters like it. With the tips that we’ll share with this guide, we can hopefully help ease you into the leveling system of the game and allow you to go on more successful missions!
How to Level Up Faster
The first and most obvious tip is to play the PVE mode to avoid the PVP aspect completely. Not everybody is cut out for intense player vs player combat, and there is absolutely no shame in that.
If you find yourself struggling to deal with players from other factions, hopping into the PVE mode of the game will make it so that you only have to worry about AI enemies. These NPCs are challenging enough on their own anyway, since they can fight like cracked aimers when they feel like it.
Do Not Rush Things
Gray Zone Warfare is not your typical arcade shooter, so you have to get used to taking things slowly. By doing this, you are more likely to survive your excursions and complete more tasks in a single attempt.
If you run around aimlessly or try to rush into your quest objectives before clearing your surroundings, you are probably going to get hit in a vital organ or suffer too much blood loss after getting shot at from god knows where.
Piling Up Tasks
On that note, there are going to be moments when different vendors will give you tasks that can be accepted at the same time and done in the same general area.
When you spot quests like this, it’s generally a good idea to do all of them at once as long as you are confident that you can survive the trip. A successful run like this will net you a huge experience boost in one go.
We also recommend checking out our guide on almost all of the tasks in Gray Zone Warfare so you don’t get lost as you try to complete them.
Team Up With Others
This should be pretty obvious, but working with other players will drastically increase your chances of success when doing a task.
You can see faction mates in the map, and this will help you determine whether or not you have backup nearby. You don’t necessarily have to stick with others all throughout, but the occasional spontaneous team up can help you clear dangerous zones.
This might even help you get through locked doors, since other players who have keys can open the way to task objectives for you. Keys are hard to get, so friendlies who open stuff for you are a blessing whenever you find them.
Get Over Your “Gear Fear”
Finally, the last tip is to stop fearing death. I don’t mean running around recklessly, cause we already covered why that’s a bad idea.
By “gear fear”, I’m referring to how players have the tendency to be too attached to their items to the point where they are only willing to die while carrying weaker stuff. Don’t be afraid to use your best equipment whenever you’re going out in the field.
Relying too much on subpar gear while hoarding your good stuff will just slow down your progress and render you more vulnerable for the most part. Things will just get more difficult as you progress in the game, so it is a bit counterintuitive to keep sending it with “welfare gear”.
And those are pretty much all of the tips we have for you when it comes to speeding up your leveling process in the game. If you are a little strapped for cash, we have a guide on how to make money without doing tasks in Gray Zone Warfare that might help you out!
