Lethal Company is a co-op horror game where you work with another 3 players to gather loot for the Company on different moons.

The game focuses on a four-player gameplay where you get four times the loot whenever you play in a team with a total headcount of 4.

However, if you ever decide to play solo, you can also do it if you want. This can be quite a challenge since there will be some disadvantages that you’ll face as a solo player.

As long as you know what you should do, you should be able to complete the mission alone.

How To Solo Guide

As a Solo player, you will have to work things out on your own. There will be no teammates telling you where the enemies are, and if you run into one of them, it’s going to be a terrifying experience. With fewer teammates, you will also be able to get less loot.

Items

Here’s a list of items you should consider stocking on your ship when you play as a solo:

  • Flashlight: For vision reasons.
  • Shovels: To fight against Snare Fleas, Spiders, Hoarding Bugs, and Thumpers. Always bring the Shovels with you to ensure your safety.
  • Keys / Lockpickers
  • TZP-Inhalant: To be more efficient at bringing heavy loot back to your ship.
  • Radar Boosters: You can check on the entrance with these items, you can ping sounds to attract enemies and use them as lightning rods for dogs outside.
  • Jetpacks: If they are on sale, consider getting 1 to 2 of them. It can aid your movement outside and help you avoid enemies.

TIP: Did you know that you can remove Snare Fleas off your head by yourself?

With so many items on the list, it is recommended that you bring no more than two. If you bring more, you can only have one or no spaces to loot.

For example, if you want to bring an extension shovel, shovel and flashlight, keep one or two of them outside and bring one or two of them in.

This way, you will have as many spaces as you can to loot items as you possibly can.

Unavoidables

As a solo player, you will be playing with a lack of information from teammates. This means that there will be things that you cannot avoid.

  • Locked Secure Doors: This can block you from entering certain rooms from time to time. These doors can only be opened using the terminal. If you are too deep in the room, you won’t have enough time to open them:
  • Turrets: They can only be avoidable if you get lucky with their random placements. Some moons can have a higher spawn rate of the turrets. Sometimes, they can make loot inaccessible for a solo player.
  • Ghost Girls: The Ghost Girl can shorten your safety time. Once she has spotted you, you’ll only have a fixed amount of time left before she chases and eliminates you. She can only target one person at a time. Since you are playing solo, you are the only target.
  • Baboon Hawks: Baboon Hawks get more aggressive if they outnumber a group of players. Since you are the only player, you are always going to be outnumbered. Make sure your stamina bar is full if you ever run into a group of them.

When you play as a solo player, you are more in control since you do not need to pay attention to your teammates’ whereabouts, or what they are bringing with them.

As long as you know where the monsters are, where the loots are and what safe paths to take, you should be good.

Other General Tips

Always watch your backs in Bunkers, Coil-heads can be an instant kill if you are not paying attention. Next, never make a noise outside past 4:00 PM unless you think you can outrun a dog.

If a bunker is inaccessible due to RNG factors, try finding beehives outside instead.

Keep in mind that you can only get a quarter of the intended loot. This is because the game is designed primarily for a four-player gameplay.

If you are critically injured while exploring, prioritize heading back to your ship.

Lethal Company Other Tips

That’s how you can solo in Lethal Company. The game gets harder the lower the number of teammates you have.

As a solo player, you will need to apply different strategies and how you want to gather all your loot. In the end, pay attention to all threats that may be around you and you’ll be good to go.
