If you’re curious about how to use it and its Bullet Barrage, follow this guide to learn more.
Gunlance Bullet Barrage Ultimate Guide – Monster Hunter Sunbreak
The Gunlance Bullet Barrage is by far the strongest Gunlance attack in the game. It can easily do 900+ damage in a single attack. But the problem there is that the Gunlance is hard to control and difficult to master.
With the Gunlance, timing is everything. With the Bullet Barrage, you need to be on time at all times, or else you’ll miss every attack you make.
The Bullet Barrage has no auto-aim, so you can’t just attack willy-nilly. Every attack has to be timed perfectly and aimed in the correct direction. You have to know when your enemy is going to jump in your attack path, or else you’ll risk missing.
Using a Gunlance on smaller enemies will be even harder, as you can sometimes overshoot your attack and hit the air behind your enemy, leaving you open. It’s advisable to only use the Gunlance and the Bullet Barrage ability on large enemies, like wyverns.
Point blank attack is also not advisable, as even with larger enemies, you can still sometimes hit the area behind them as you charge through. While the Gunlance is a great weapon and the Bullet Barrage is a powerful ability, using it is a whole different story.
To get the hang of the Gunlance and the Bullet Barrage ability, you need to learn what the correct distance is and control the camera correctly. The second part is your true enemy, as the camera placement will not help you lock on to your enemy. If your character is facing the enemy and open to a Bullet Barrage, it won’t matter if your character is facing right, because they will attack to the right instead.
Distance is also important. You need to know when the distance is good, because sometimes you can overshoot your attack or won’t reach your target, both ending in you getting damaged by enemy attacks.
