You can get this set actually by acquiring a few easy sets of gear beforehand. The skill tree situation from your set should look a little something like this.

Defense is key when playing with this set because you’ll face off enemies that you haven’t seen before(talking about the newly added monsters).

For Weapons you should be using at first:

• Howlitzer
• Mighty Corn Popper
• Behemoth Gunlance of the Bone Series

For Armor you should be using:

• Kushala Daora Pieces
• Basarious S Helm
• Bangel Legs

You can beat Crabby monster boss using the Mighty Corn Popper. After this you’ll start getting an opening for getting Rampage drops.

Scissor Gunlance is the first level 6 that you will get. It is vastly more powerful that any lance that you’ll be seeing in the beginning. To craft it you will need some rare oren crab parts. You will have to hunt down at least 1 more big Crab to be able to craft it.

If you are playing a close setup you will need to use these Switch Skills:

• Blast Dash
• Quick Reload
• Guard Edge
• Erupting Cannon

You can have Hail Cutter and Ground Splitter in the other.
