Manor Lords: How To Breed Sheep

Buy, breed, and trade your sheep for resources!

Sheep are an essential livestock in Manor Lords because they fetch resources like food and winter clothing. They also provide wool which is important to keep your villagers warm during winters. These animals aren’t cheap but they’re key to sustaining your settlement during harsh seasons. In this guide, I’ll teach you how to breed sheep to make things easier for you.

How To Breed Sheep

There are two main things you need to breed sheep in Manor Lords: get Regional Wealth and build a Livestock Trading Post. Regional Wealth is needed to buy resources to acquire the sheep while the Livestock Trading Post is a trade building where you can trade animals.

Increase Regional Wealth

Increase your Regional Wealth by upgrading your Burgage Plots and trading. Once you amass enough wealth, you can purchase sheep. A single sheep costs 30 Regional Wealth.

Now build the infrastructure below to prepare your settlement for the livestock.

Steps To Breed Sheep

Breeding sheep is a simple thing in Manor Lords. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Build a Livestock Trading Post
    1. This requires x2 Timber to set up a Trading Post near King’s Road. Once finished, assign villagers as workers to the post to get it up and running.
  2. Construct a fenced-in pasture
    1. You can do this in the build menu. Just place one down on a big enough plot of land.
  3. Assign a family to the Sheep farm
    1. Make sure to assign a family to the farm to take care of all the sheep-breeding work. They will acquire the resources for you over time.
  4. Trade
    1. Once you’re done, open the Trade tab and look for the Sheep. If you’re just starting, buy 3 to 4 sheep and they will automatically be added to the farm.

And that’s it! You’ve successfully bought and can breed sheep on your farm. That being said, sheep aren’t the only important resource in the game, learn how to make Ale and expand your settlement further!
