In Space Sims most of the fun you can have is trying out different spaceships. From the highly maneuverable fighters or frigates, to the slow moving and deadly battleships or cruisers. Learning how they handle, what kind of weapons they can use and how they fare well in combat is usually what you want to know first when trying out a new ship.

In Everspace 2 there’s a lot of ships you can get in the game, some of them can be fast and nimble while others are slow and tough. One of the ships that you can get is the Gunship, and in this guide, we’ll show you the strengths and weaknesses of this ship!

Heavy Fighter Class Guide – Everspace 2 The Gunship

So, you’ve got yourself a Gunship in Everspace 2, or as I like to call it the “flying brick.” This ship is one of my favorites if I just don’t want to fly around dodging enemies. Instead, I go head on, shoot as much ordinance on my foes and take all of their puny weapon’s fire like it’s nothing. This ship is all about the offense and here’s how it goes.

The Gunship has 3 Primary and 2 Secondary Slots, a great upgrade if you’re coming from the starter ship that only had 2 primaries. The downside is that the ship only has 2 consumable slots which can a limiting factor if you like using consumables a lot.

The ship’s ultimate ability is an Automated turret that has amazing accuracy and damage, great to add more firepower to your fight. It’ll target ships around you and can easily shred enemies while you’re doing the same with your primary weapons.

With Class Expertise the Gunship can have Armor Damage Reduction which makes the ship to even more of a flying tank. This ship really is a heavy fighter that deals a lot of damage and can take a lot of damage as well without blowing up of course!

Congratulations you now know how the Gunship works in Everspace 2. Now go out there and try that ship out!
