Lethal Company provides players with the opportunity to buy all sorts of useful tools and gadgets that can increase their chances of meeting the quota. Unfortunately, this will also cost your hard-earned credits, so you may want to think long and hard if it’s worth buying stuff. In this guide, we’ll teach you all about the zap gun!
Zap Gun Guide
The zap gun costs a whopping 400 credits. While it isn’t the most expensive tool in the store, it is definitely up there among the costlier options.

In addition to that, it is a very situational thing to have due to its limited usability and how ineffective it can be against some enemies.
With that said, the zap gun can come in handy in a pinch when you get cornered by something that can be stunned with it. It can be particularly good against Jesters, as it can pause their wind-up timer.
Utilizing the Zap Gun
In order to actually use the zap gun, you must hold the left mouse button to scan for any targets within range. Watch out when around teammates, as they can be hit by it as well!
As the gun electrocutes a target, you can prolong the stun by pulling against the current. This is done by looking to either the left or right.
After you stop stunning a target, the zap gun will have a cooldown timer of 5 seconds. This is also indicated by a cloud of smoke coming out of the device.
It should be noted that it also can only be used for a maximum of around one minute worth of stunning. It also does no damage, so you’ll need somebody with a weapon nearby if you plan on taking things out with it.
Finally, it is not effective against the following enemies:
- Coil Heads
- Ghost Girl
- Earth Leviathans
- Circuit Bees
- Manticoils
- Roaming Locusts
- Turrets and Mines

Buying a Zap Gun
Finally, just in case you are new and aren’t sure of how to buy one of these for yourself, all you have to do is to go to the terminal in your ship.
From there, just enter the shop interface by typing “store”. Then, type “zap gun” to purchase one. A drop pod should appear somewhere nearby and drop your zap gun on the ground after you open it.
