Farming materials in survival games or RPGs can either be monotonous and easy or difficult and annoying. They don’t tend to go in between, and that’s why players look for the best ways to farm each material effectively.

In V Rising, there are a lot of materials in the higher levels that can be annoying to get. You can farm them through the obvious way of going for drops but sometimes, there are easier ways of doing it. If you need a lot of Mutant Grease, then there’s an easier way for it!

In this guide, we’ll show you how you can easily farm more Mutant Grease in V Rising. We’ll go through what you’ll need to build and even how to get it passively! Now, let’s see what we’ll need to do!

Detailed Walkthrough

When you try and farm Mutant Grease around the map in V Rising, you can get around a handful of them per kill. This doesn’t sound bad until you learn that you have to move around and look for specific mobs that drop them.

There is an easier way to farm Mutant Grease in the comfort of your base! All you need to do is build a Vermin Nest and then set it to spawn Mutated Rats.

These mobs drop Mutant Grease and need Grave Dust and Sludge-Filled Canisters to spawn.

V Rising Mutated Rat

These enemies are easy to kill and can drop from upwards to 30+ Mutant Grease per rat. Not only that, but you can keep on summoning them by just moving away from the Vermin Nest and then moving back.

V Rising Mutated Rat Farm

If you want to get Mutant Grease passively, you can also place a Servant nearby so that they’ll aggro to the Mutated Rats. Make sure that the servant can take on the group of rats so equip them with the best gear and check how they do first.

After repeatedly farming using the Vermin Nest or using a servant you’ll be swimming in Mutant Grease! Now that I think about it, it doesn’t sound good. At least you won’t run out!

That’s how you can Farm more Mutant Grease in V Rising. Now, go out there and try to farm it yourself! There are a lot of changes with the 1.0 update. Check out our Biggest Changes in Late and Endgame Guide for more details!
