We all know that the meta is always a fight between the developers and the players in any game, specially MMORPGs. New big patches that change weapons, abilities or adds new content can change the meta of a game overnight. That leaves players scrambling for new builds, adjusting old ones and trying to see what’s the new meta all to get the best chances in winning in the game be it in PVP or PVE. The meta is always changing and that’s true with New World, in this guide we’ll show you a new Blunderbuss/Firestaff combo PVP build for 1.7.0 for those who want to stay at the top of the game.
1.7.0 Blunderbuss/Firestaff Ultimate PvP Build For New World
With the recent changes and additions of the greatsword the meta has shifted greatly, no pun intended. Basically nobody plays mages these days due to how difficult it is to get out of greatsword users when they start singing. Healers are tougher to deal with and archers are still a pain to fight. Here’s an updated build for Blunderbuss and Firestaff.
Weapon Abilities
For the Blunderbuss our main abilities will be Shrapnel Blast, Net Shot and finally the Splitting Grenade. In the past most Blunderbuss builds used Blast Shot to counter mages, but now that mages are basically useless in the Meta we’ll be moving away from that.
For the Fire staff we’ll be using Fireball, Flamethrower and Burnout. This firestaff will be very melee range focus and that’s why we’re not getting the last node for flamethrower since a good melee player will try their best to not get hit continuously by the flamethrower. The cooldown isn’t that big of a loss since you’ll be dodging anyway.
Attributes
For attributes your main one will be Intelligence since both your weapons will be scaling with them, as well as some Constitution. Do your best to get your food buffs for these attributes.
