Sometimes in video games we go for the simpler things in life and that’s to do as much damage as possible. Seeing those gigantic damage numbers go up or seeing your enemy HP go to zero in a few seconds is a great feeling and usually in MMOs there’s always builds for high damage. With a new year coming up there should be some changes in the meta in the game, so in this guide we’ll show you the top 3 best high damage builds out there this month. So that we can get that number higher and higher and make our enemies turn into a fine paste on the ground!
New World: Top 3 Best HIGH DAMAGE Builds Jan. 2023
Of course these builds are for veteran players already who want to see how the meta has changed and to adjust to it but we’ll try our best to explain it to the newer players as well. The builds are divided into the weapon combinations so let’s get started!
Greataxe/Warhammer
For this build you need to first get your strength to 200, then get 100 points into Constitution and finally put everything else in strength. Since we’ll be using two weapons that scale off well with strength, that attribute will be our main priority.
For the gear we’ll want to keep to the Medium Category, that means managing gear weight so that we don’t go to heavy. The best combination for gear with this build is here:
- Heavy Helmet
- Heavy Chest Armor
- Medium Gloves
- Light Pants
- Medium boots
For both of the weapons perks and abilities you’ll want to use the ones above and below. The numbers on the upper right of each perk and ability is the sequence you’d want to unlock them.
Greatsword/Sword
Now for the next build we’ll be going with the Greatsword and Sword and Shield. From the first levels get your Strength and Dexterity to 200, then go all in with Constitution. For the gear again we want to aim for the Medium category, just remember that shields have different weights so go for small shields.

Ice/Void Gauntlets
Now for the last build we’re going with the Ice/Void Gauntlets and you’ll want to get to 150 Intelligence then dump everything else to Constitution. We’re aiming for 300 Intelligence and 150 Constitution at level 60.
Again we want to be in the medium category when it comes to gear weight, so go for this setup:
- Heavy Helmet
- Heavy Chest Armor
- Medium Gloves
- Light Pants
- Medium Boots
