Don’t you hate it when you’ve gotten a new game, you’ve downloaded it and launch it only to experience a lot of performance issues? Maybe the game won’t run, or it is running but it crashes every 2 seconds. Perhaps there’s a fatal error or even infinite load screens where you just stare at the black void. We can’t have that; we need our video game fix!
Everspace 2 is one of the games out there that recently released, and some people are reporting these issues with their game. In this guide we’ll hopefully give you some fixes that will help you get enjoy this new game!
Fix Fatal Error, Crashing, Infinite Loading & Black Screen For Everspace 2
Sometimes you get a new game and it just doesn’t work when you install it. Before you hit that refund button you might want to check out some fixes first. Some of these fixes work with a lot of games so it’s great to learn these troubleshooting techniques so you can use it in the future. Here’s some fixes that will hopefully help you with running Everspace 2:
- Minimum and Recommended PC requirements – You can check the steam page of Everspace 2 and scroll down before the review section. There you can find the recommended and minimum specs for the game. Make sure your PC is within these specs or higher.
- Verify game integrity through Steam – Rarely the installation gets something wrong, it can happen though. Make sure you verify the game integrity by right clicking on the game. Then choose Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.
- Close all unwanted applications – Make sure that you don’t have resource intensive programs like google chrome with 250 tabs open. Clear the applications and just let Steam and the game run.
- Disable or exclude the game from your antivirus – Sometimes anti viruses are just too intrusive. They don’t differentiate from a file you download from a dodgy site to a steam game sometimes. Make sure you exclude the game or disable it.
- Update your Graphics Drivers – This is surprisingly something that not a lot of people do and is usually the problem. Often times when a big game comes out GPU manufacturers send out an update to make GPUs work better with that game. Keep those drivers updated!
