As the creatures in the cave come closer, Nick is faced with an injured soldier called Merwin. Merwin is faced with excruciating pain, and he is luring the creatures in. Keeping Merwin alive and getting him to fix the radio will give you the “So you are my technician” trophy achievement.
Keep Merlin Alive
During the dialogue sequence in the underworld, Nick is helping Merwin as he is being chased by the monsters. There are a series of quick-time events here, and even though it may seem like you have to time them right, do the opposite.
Nick will try to silence Merwin to keep the monsters at bay. Miss or fail all the quick-time events during this sequence or else Merwin will get choked to death. Keep going until the morphine is injected into Merwin and he faints.
The Temple
After that, you will have to carry Merwin away. You have the option to go through or go around. Both choices would not affect the outcome but you have to be successful in all of the quick-time events during this scene. Choosing to go through will make your quick-time events easier.
After successfully performing the quick-time events, choose the option “I won’t leave a man behind”. Now Merwin will show back up in the Signal chapter and you will get the “So you are my technician” trophy.
