New World Assassin Build: Greatsword & Greataxe High DPS PvP

New World didn’t have the best of starts in the MMO sphere. Despite the rough launch filled with bugs, glitches and exploits, the game was been continuously updated throughout the months. Now with the release of multiple content patches as well as fresh start servers remaking the entirety of the first few levels of the game, the game has a second wave of new players. Not only that but there’s new weapon types as well, and in this guide we’ll show you a build on the Greatsword and Greataxe combo for PVP.

Greatsword & Greataxe High DPS PvP | New World Assassin Build

There’s a lot of different builds in New World, some of them are specialized in PVE while others are better at PVP. It all depends on the attributes, the weapon choice, and the gear that you bring. Lucikly for PVP players they don’t need to lug around 5 different armor sets if they want to maximize their play unlike PVE. Here is a build for Greatsword and Greataxe combo.

Attributes

There’s two attribute paths that you can go to, one is a balanced half and half on both Strength and Dexterity. Since Greatswords scale on both Strength and Dex this is great, but at the same time you’ll be losing much on the Greataxe. This is for the people that only want to use the Greataxe for the utility and the Greatsword for actual damage.

Then there’s the 300 on Strength, 50 on Dexterity and all else in Constitution. This one is if you want to deal damage with both weapons, you’ll sacrifice some health and Dex scaling for the greatsword, but you can use both weapons for damage.

Gear

Of course we can’t forget about the rest of the gear like the armor. This build will be using all light armor except for the chest piece being medium armor. You’ll be a bit squishy but you can quickly move around the battlefield and take down enemies one by one.

All Armor pieces should have Resilient, it’s a must have in PVP these days, it’ll help since you’ll be diving into the backline and will get everyone’s attention. Shirking Fortification is also good to give more survivability. Refreshing or Freedom is also a good 3^rd perk to have, with Refreshing being the better choice.
