If you’ve been playing New World for a while now, then you should know that the grind is long and hard. Having to level up to 60 is hard enough, but having to bring each weapon type you have to max level as well is just torture. But, players have found a way to skip that with different kinds of methods. In this guide, we will be using one of those methods to get the Greatsword to Gear Score 590. If you are trying to get your Greatsword to 590 as well, then this guide is tailor-made for you.
How To Get 590 Greatsword On Day 1 of Brimstone Sands – New World
To get your Greatsword to 590, you should craft some Infused Orbs or Gypsum Orbs. Infused Orbs and Gypsum Orbs are used to increase the Expertise of a gear, which is the progression system of all gears. Infused Orbs can be crafted every ten hours, while Gypsum Orbs can be crafted once a day.
Another way to get Expertise to increase your Greatsword gear score is by getting Caches. Caches provide Expertise, although not always guaranteed to drop some. To get Caches, you can try doing the Outpost Rush. The rare the Cache, the bigger the Expertise.
This way is much easier and all you have to do is to wait until the official patch drops. To get a Greatsword with a gear score of 590, you first have to find a legendary Greatsword that has a fixed name. Not the ones that have random names on them, these weapons must have a fixed name.
The reason why is that fixed name weapons will jump up to 590 gear score when the official patch drops. When you farm them in the PTR version of the game, you will get them at gear score 500. But once the patch drops, the gear score jumps to 590.
