New World has come out with the Brimstone Sands update and with it comes the long requested Great Sword weapon. Because be honest, is any MMORPG complete if they don’t have a massive sword that is twice the size of a player character? Well now that it’s here, New World players have begun the jump from whatever weapon they were using to this large hunk of metal. In this guide, we will show you how to max out the Great Sword in order to get the best out of it.
How To Max Out Great Sword 600-625 – New World
To max out the Great Sword, we will need a lot of Expertise. Expertise is essentially the progression system for gear when you hit level 60. Once you get to level 60, all of your gear will start at Gear Score 500.
There are several ways to get Expertise. One of which is to craft Infused Orbs or Gypsum Orbs. Both of these items can increase the Expertise level of a any gear. Infused Orb can be crafted every ten hours, and only requires Infused Fragments. Gypsum Orbs, however, can only be crafted once a day, and requires 1 of 9 types of Gypsum.
Aside from crafting, you can play the game to get Expertise. The Daily Elite Chest Runs and Dungeons can also get you Expertise, although it’s not 100% guaranteed. You might have to do multiple runs in order to get Expertise.
Another way is to play the Trial Arena to get the Lost Equipment Cache. Inside it grants a lot of good stuff, especially Expertise. However, just like the Chest Runs and Dungeons, it does not guarantee any Expertise drop.
You can also farm from bosses found in New World. These are the known bosses to drop Expertise:
- The Grotto’s Thorn
- Pit Lord Daehi
- Well Guardian
- Adjorjan
- Kilgoran
- Thorn of the Heartwood
