Starting with the loadout, here are the gear you will need to get in order to get the maximum potential of being a tanky greatsword wielder:

- Darion’s Spatha

With the loadout out of the way, let’s focus on the stats. As you are going to be a greatsword tank, you will need to have a lot of Strength and a lot of Constitution. The Constitution is essentially what you need to become a tank, as this is your health. The higher the constitution, the more viable you are as a tank.
Strength speaks for itself, since you are going to be a greatsword tank, you will need to deal some serious damage as well. You are going to be in the front lines at all times, so having a powerful tank that can take some serious hits is always good.
After getting the stats setup, you will now need to focus on what skills and skill tree you will spec on. As a tank, you will have to spec all of your skills into Defiance, as this will help you become an incredible tank. The Onslaught skill tree, which is the opposite of Defiance, is basically for DPS. But since you are a tank, you will need to spec all skills into Defiance.
