Northgard is a Norse mythology-inspired strategy game in which you command a tribe of Vikings contending for sovereignty of a strange unknown land. It is a survival Simulation and a very interesting and easy-to-learn but hard-to-master kind of strategy game. In this guide, we will be showing you one of the tribes and how you should be playing it. Let’s learn about the Lynx Tribe.

How To Lynx Guide – Northgard

The Lynx Clan has a three Star difficulties to learn and master it completely. They mostly gave it this rating because of how it plays out differently than all the traditional other clans in the game. It is not a very hard clan to start out with, but at the same time, it is not meant for beginners or newer players of the game to start with this clan as a first one.

It has a two star development. This is set up to be fair because its economy is outmatched by a lot out of the other clans but it does alright at the end of the day.

It has a three star military. This clan is one of the few Clear clans in the game. Clear means that it is one of the clans that can actually clear and remove hostels from neutral tiles with little to no resources needed at all. This makes it being in the meta making it match every other clan especially early and mid-game.

Lynx has only one star for support. They don’t benefit their teammates as far as just clearing tiles out for them.

A big thing about them is that the Archery Range replaces the Axe Thrower Camp which allows Lynx to buy to buy their unique unit – The Trackers. You can actually summon 2 living Lynxes to guide you in whatever it is you’re doing in the game. They cost for 60 food and 40 gold to summon. The war chief only costs 150 gold and 0 iron but she is fairly weaker than all the other chiefs in the game.

Build Order

You can of course do whatever playstyle you want to do. You can come up with your own. Whatever works for you simply go for it. But if you’re a veteran of the game you’ll understand how the mechanics function and how some buildings are much more important to others, and if you place them correctly you’ll get a big advantage over your enemies.

This is how you should do it:

  • Scout Camp
  • House
  • Wood Cutters Lodge
  • Archery Camp
  • Longship Dock or Trading Post
  • House
  • Mine for Iron
  • Hunters Lodge
  • Hunters Lodge
  • Forge / upgrade wood cutters, sailors, merchants, trackers, and hunters
  • Wood cutters Lodge
  • Mine for Stone
  • Longship Dock or Trading Post
  • Healers Hut

Lore Order

When it comes to the Lore you might think they may be insignificant how wrong you are. Make sure to stick with this chronological order and you’ll see big changes in your successful wins.

  • Sharp Axes
  • Weaponsmith
  • Spoils of Plenty
  • Archery Mastery
  • Feeling Safe
  • Nimble Paws
  • The Wild Hunt
  • Recruitment

Trophy Path

Most of the time when you’re playing the Lynx clan you will go for the aggressive and military path. You will get trophies when you kill wild animals. Once you kill your first wolf you’ll unlock your first perk and you’ll choose from three. This is what you should be picking for all of them:

  • Caring Siblings
  • Sibling Rivalry
  • The Great Hunt
  • The Wise One
  • Experienced Hunters
  • Double Shot
  • Fire Arrows
  • Sharp Eye
  • Wild Hunter

That should be it! Other than that keep strategizing and trying out new things whatever is the most fun for you. This is always the biggest goal in every game. If you decide to stick with our suggestion you will see lots of victories coming your way. Have fun and good luck!
