V Rising: Gloomrot Auto Farm GUIDE

Now that’s a neat trick!

The Secrets of Gloomrot update in V Rising has introduced new content that results in players being attracted toward exploration rather than farming. This guide focuses on a simple Auto Farm that allows you to perform other tasks without worrying about resources such as Silkworms, Hides, Gravedust, Scourgestone, etc.

Auto Farm Guide

Keep in mind not to leave your castle when using this Farm since the drops from the enemies might disappear. This Farm is helpful when performing other tasks around your castle, such as sorting inventory, brewing potions, extracting blood, etc.

Auto Farm room

The newly added Stunlock feature has made Tombs and Vermin Nests useful for Auto Farming with the help of servants. The basic premise of an Auto Farm is to set up Tombs and Vermin Nests in a confined room with your Servants. The Servants then take care of any spawned mobs, and you can pick up the resources when they are done.

Vermin Nest and Tomb

The type of servant that you use in this room matters a lot since it denotes how much freedom you have in gearing them. A perfect example of this is a swordsman from Silverlight Hills. Since these are quite powerful units as the base level, you don’t have to provide them with good gear due to their AoE attacks and knockback.

Two servants with no gear can clean the spawns from the Tomb and the Nest combined. For information on how to get High-Quality Blood Servants check out this Ultimate Blood Farming Guide.

Gear on servant

The next important thing is to consider which resources you can obtain using Auto Farm. You can summon Banshees from the Tomb. These can be summoned using Gem Dust and Brier, which takes around seven minutes to spawn. For information on how to obtain Gem Dust, check out this resource guide.

Banshees summoning

In addition to the Banshees, you can also farm Ghouls using the Tomb, and they drop Bones and Grave Dust.

Next up, you can farm Silkworms using Spiderlings. These Spiderlings can be summoned at the Vermin Nest using Mutant Grease and Fish Bones. This is useful since it eliminates the need for farming runs to the Spider Cave in the Cursed Forest since that is the only location where Silkworms can be found.

Summoning Spiderlings

Mutant Grease is abundant in Gloomrot. The best farming method involves teleporting to the Vampire Waygate and following the path highlighted in the image below before heading back. Most of the time at these Irradiated Pools, humans and mutants will be fighting together, and you can pick up the Mutant Grease lying around.

Best path for getting Mutant Grease

Another strategy for farming Mutant Grease is to summon Mutated Rats using the Vermin Nest. Once defeated, they also drop Mutant Grease making this a good way of replenishing your stock.

Mutated Rats

Lastly, you might want to farm Giant Rats since they drop low-grade seeds, which can be used to obtain flowers. This is important since most summons, such as Ghouls and Banshees, require different flowers to be summoned.

Giant Rats

An Auto Farm is essential for your base since it prevents time wastage by ensuring you can farm for other resources rather than ones that can be obtained using the farm. We would love to hear from you in the comments below if you have any questions or suggestions.
