New World has one of the coolest dungeons in the MMORPG world period. You will be dealing with tons of bosses each different than the other. But that is why you will need to be extra careful and to read up on a guide. In this guide, we will be giving you all the details that you’ll need for Tempest Heart. Let’s get started.

Tempest Heart Complete Guide – New World

How to Enter the Tempest Heart Dungeon

As with all New World Expeditions, someone from your group must be at the entrance to enter the Tempest Heart.

You can only run a certain number of expeditions at a time. Each player can do 15 Normal Expedition runs per day or 105 per week. 25 times a week, Mutated Expedition is on.

You can also use the dungeon expedition group finder to join an expedition with a group. You can get to the group finder through the expedition entrance UI or by clicking on the Expedition map icons on the map.

You can look at the listings that other players have made or post your own request for other players to join you on your server. This tool lets you choose what role you want to play on your team, like DPS, tank, or healer. You can look for people to fill those roles.

You can also set requirements for recruiting, such as a minimum gear score and level, and then inspect members to find out their average gear score, weapon mastery level, and level of level.

Tempest Heart Dungeon

As soon as you enter the Tempest’s Heart dungeon, you will move down the first corridor, killing trash mobs as you go, until you reach the Gates of Madness. When you get to the Gates of Madness, you will meet Isabella.

She will turn on the monolith in the middle of the room that is broken. Around the monolith, there will be 3 corrupted pylons that you need to close with your Azoth staff. Then, you’ll have to go into the middle of the corruption and attack the carapace to break it. Once it’s broken, you’ll use your Azoth staff to close it and finish the room.

During this process, a few mobs will appear, just like they do during an open-world corruption event. Uzret is a level 66 Elite mob that can appear. Watch out for how hard he hits with his greatsword. You can kill him or finish the corruption event to get rid of him, and he won’t come back. Once the corruption is gone, the doors at the top of the ramp will open and you’ll be able to move forward.

After you go through the doors, turn left into a small space. There, you’ll be able to remember Isabella. After you’ve seen the memory, you can move on to the next part of the passage. You will have to kill some trash mobs and corrupted tentacles as you move through.

As soon as you reach the end of the passage, several waves of trash mobs will appear, which you will have to kill. When the trash is gone, an Elite named Crewman Rutz will appear. If you kill him, the door will open.

Boss Fight

After you pass through the gates, you will fight Ekheke, a level 66 Spriggan Elite, who is your first boss (1st Boss Fight). Around the boss are a lot of trash mobs. After you get rid of those, you can focus on the boss.

This boss fight isn’t that hard. There are a few skills to look out for:

  • Club Cleave: His club-wide swing that knocks down and hurts players. The range of this skill is very long and wide.
  • Club Smash is a swing from above with a club that does a lot of damage.
  • Ground Rupture: The Spriggan will jump into the air and then smash the ground around him, causing it to split open with roots. This is an AoE damaging ability.

This boss doesn’t have any complicated ways to work. Just have your tank keep the boss’s attention and deal damage to him or her while being aware of the above attacks.

After you kill the boss, you’ll have to find the cellar’s key. Take the stairs to the right and get rid of the trash mobs as you go. You’ll go through the red portal when you reach the top of the stairs.

Once you go through the portal, you will meet High Maiden Lai, an Elite boss who is level 66. You’ll have to kill her after getting rid of the trash mobs that are near her. She reminds me a lot of the maiden you meet in the Dynasty Shipyard.

Just watch out for her Dragon Swirl area-of-effect ability and use DPS to take her down. Once she’s dead, you’ll need to take the Cellar Key from the chest in the middle of the room. Go to the other side of the room to leave through another red portal.

Second Boss Fight

Once you’re inside the Basilica, jump down from the ledges to the bottom, where you’ll fight Isabella, the second boss (2nd Boss Fight). This boss fight isn’t hard because it has a lot of complicated mechanics.

  • Rapier Dash: She will run quickly for a long distance, doing damage to everyone in her way.
  • Corrupted Orb: She will shoot a corrupted orb in a straight line, hurting everything in its way.
  • Flame Sword: She swings her sword wide and does damage in front of her in a cone shape.

You don’t have to kill her; just bring her health down to about 75% for the dungeon to move on. When her health drops to 75%, she will teleport away, and you can move on.

After it, jump off the edges and follow the path down. Here, you’ll find a Void Destroyer and several trash mobs. The void destroyer will target a player and put a damaging laser on that player that will stay there for a long time.

If you stay behind the broken ship rubble, you can see the first set of lasers and kill the trash mobs. Once the trash mobs are gone, someone in the group will need to hop on the repeater and aim at the Void Destroyers Eyes to kill it.

You will get to the City of Darkness. Here simply go for the boss Basir and take him down. He is a fairly easy boss to take down with just the basic attacking moves.

Final Boss Fight

Here are the mechanics:

  • Cleave: Isabella does an AoE cleave in front of her, just like she did with her rapier before. Make sure to block if you are near the cone.
  • Corruption Summon: She will come out of the ground in the shape of an X or a cross, made of corrupted vines that do damage. Before this happens, she will stomp on the ground. Stand behind her or in front of her to avoid getting hurt. But during the second phase, when her health is less than 50%, she will call forth a glyph before using this ability. After that, the vines will start to move toward their targets. To avoid or lessen damage, you can dodge or block.
  • Wing Spin: Isabella will quickly spin around and hit anyone nearby with damage from her wings.
  • Burn: Isabella will pick a player and give them a burn Dot.
  • Take Flight: Isabella will take to the air and dive into players, dealing damage as she goes. If you move out of her way when she dives, this won’t happen.
  • Monolith Summon: Isabella will jump straight up into the air and call down a monolith on the ground. Get away from the monolith. For a short time, it will be surrounded by corrupted vines that will do heavy AoE damage to anyone caught in them. Once the swirls are gone, a player will need an Azoth staff to get rid of the monolith.

Near the back of the arena, there are pools of spoiled blood on the ground. Don’t put your feet in them. When you stand in them, they do a lot of damage.  Just make sure your tank keeps aggro and is aware of the above mechanics.

Your tank will have to avoid many of her melee, ranged, and area-of-effect (AoE) attacks. Due to all the AoEs in close range around the boss, this fight is not great for melee players. After the fight, make sure to open the expedition chest before leaving the dungeon.
