Fresh Servers are New World’s answer to every gamer’s question when they have done everything in an MMO: “What do I do now?” We all reach that point in an MMO where we have all of the cool gear and done all of the hard raids. When you finish new content, you also leave yourself with nothing to do besides waiting for the next big update that comes out. New World releases Fresh Servers, which is essentially starting a new game for you. If you want to level up quick in New World’s Fresh Servers, then follow this guide.
Updated Fresh Servers 1-60 Leveling Guide – New World
Going from level 1 to level 60 used to be such a chore when playing in the original servers in New World. But, the developers made some very… let’s say major changes in the Fresh Servers. Because according to the developers, they tweaked the experience required to reach level 45 to 140%, and 160% to level 60.
To simplify it, the developers essentially reduced the experience you need in order to reach levels in New World. Meaning you can level up faster in Fresh Servers compared to their original servers. Which brings us to the next big point.
Main story and side quests were not considered a viable way to level up in New World’s original servers. The story quests give so little experience that even if you do side quests, you will still come up short. Thanks to the experience reduction, doing main quests can easily get you to level 60. You can even do side quests first to get to level 60 if you want.
Lore notes can also grant you XP as well. The XP reduction affects a lot of in game items, so even the notes for lore grant you big XP. However, there are some tweaks to some parts of the game that usually gives large XP, but no longer can. The Town Board would normally have quests for you to do, and in the original servers, they were the most viable way to level up.
In Fresh Servers, however, the developers made the decision to lower the XP gained from Town Board to 75%. This essentially makes Town Boards useless in Fresh Servers, and a waste of time and resources. You are much better off just playing the main story and side quests to level up.
You should also travel in an efficient manner when doing your leveling process. Staying on roads grants 15% speed increases that will take you to your quests that much faster. There are also more fast travel points you can use now compared to when the game first started, so use those to your advantage as much as you can.
There are some changes made to Corruption Portals as well that you should take note of when you do them. First off, they now reward an additional 150% XP when you complete them. Second, there is a catch to this. When playing Corruption Portals, there is a reset timer on the portals. Once you have cleared them, they will need time to respawn. However, this only becomes an efficient way of getting XP only if there are 15+ or more players doing Corruption Portals as well. If they aren’t, then you’re better off doing something else.
Another thing to take note about the main story is that it is now possible to solo the whole story. Originally, the quest that required you to enter the Amrine can now be played solo. You will instead be given the option to either complete the Amrine expedition, or you can complete a solo quest in Everfall.
With these in mind, you can easily reach level 60 by yourself without the help of others. You can even reach level 60 just by doing the main story quests and some side quests. I only advise that you do Corruption Portals when there are more than 15 players when you can. While you can reach level 60 just playing through the main story quest, you can get there faster when Corruption Portals have enough players.
