We all remember how New World had a rough start when it came out, but slowly and surely it turned out into a new game. We still should remember the rough start though, it shouldn’t be a norm in video games, but they’re trying to make it into a proper MMO.
What’s a proper MMO these days anyway? Well of course it’s one with a Season Pass, oh no.
New World will now have a Season Pass and new Seasonal quests and stories, and we’ll show you what the difference between the paid and free versions of the season pass!
Free vs. Paid Version | Comparison of Rewards | New World: Season Pass
Yes, that’s right, New World is going to have a Season Pass, and depending on what camp you’re on that’s either a good thing or the sign of end times.
For those who are curious about how the Season Pass works though, it’s basically two tracks. There’s the Free one that everyone gets, and the Premium one that if you don’t get gives you a debuff called “Fear of Missing Out” in real life.
To progress through the track you’ll have an Activity card, like a Bingo Card where you do certain activities and it’ll progress the track.
The more you play the game and do the activities, the more stuff you get for free, and by free I mean you pay with your time and effort of course!
So what’s the difference between the free version and the paid version? Well, the free version gives you a lot of boosters, consumables, skins, and chests that you’d expect from a normal season pass.
It also has the added bonus of giving your Marks of Fortunes for free which is nice, as well as the new Flame Cores that you’ll need to use for the new Human Combat Trophies.
The Paid Version includes a legendary chest at the start and a lot more especially in the final stretch of the season pass.
It basically has the same as the free pass but more and that added bonus of the better chests. As expected the paid version has more Legendary chests and cool skins, as well as more Marks of Fortune.
Congratulations you now know the difference between the free and paid version of the new season pass in New World!
