The various Vendors and NPCs in Gray Zone Warfare always have a task for you. So, as a soldier, you’ll be going to multiple locations to complete quests. One of these NPCs is Gunny and he’ll have you investigating a suspicious tourist as part of the Incognito Task he gives you.
So, you’ll need to bring intel as proof to check whether he is legit or not. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly how you can complete the Incognito Task. This includes completing both the main objectives before you can turn it into Gunny. With that said, let’s get into it!
Incognito Task Guide
Completing the Incognito Task with Gunny will net you Reputation points that will eventually level up your relation with him. In doing so, you’ll have the chance to buy and sell better weapons and parts. If you do get him to Level 3, you’ll have the chance to get some amazing guns in Gray Zone Warfare.

With that said, let’s see how you can actually complete the Incognito Task in Gray Zone Warfare. Here are the steps that you’ll need to follow to complete it:
- Go to the west of the Tiger Bay Central area of Gray Zone Warfare
- Locate the mysterious individual’s house in the area
- Find the Mercenary’s Diary and pick it up to complete the task.

Incognito Task Location
Starting off, you’ll need to head to the right location in Gray Zone Warfare for the Incognito Task. So, start by going to the Tiger Bay area towards the East. You should be able to find the label on the map, as shown below.
Your goal is to go to the West of the Tiger Bay Central area, as this is where the mysterious individual’s house is. We have the exact location of the house shown in the image below. It is the one that has the white pin on it.
The exact coordinates of this area in Gray Zone Warfare are: (128, 197).
Keep in mind that this area will have a lot of AI enemies. So, you’ll need to prepare for a gunfight once you get near the area. We recommend that you land at the Juliet 2 LZ. From here, you can go through the trees from the West and get to the house easily.
However, this way can make the house’s location less apparent because the front entrance is on the other side. So, it really is up to you whichever way you go.
Locate the Mysterious Individual’s House
Once the coast is clear, you can make your way towards the Mysterious Individual’s House. This house for the Incognito Task is shown below.
The entrance has a very noticeable overhanging arch that you can enter through. When you do so, you’ll have completed the first objective of the Incognito Task. Now all that’s left is to find the intel.

Find and Take Mercenary’s Diary
After you go through the driveway, the front door of the house will come ahead. Go through this front door.
When you open the front door, you’ll see a door on the right side. Open this door and enter inside.
As you do so, you’ll enter the bedroom of the mysterious individual. Look towards the right where there is a bed alongside a dresser.
Approach the dresser and open the first drawer. You’ll find the Mercenary’s Diary inside. Select the Take option to pick it up. Doing so will allow you to complete the second objective of the Incognito Task.
Now that you have the intel, all you need to do is turn in the task to complete it!
