In New World, you can be attacked by a number of elements from both players and enemy AI. From ice to fire, they will use everything they have to damage you and kill you, which is bad because you don’t want that to happen. However, there are Conditioning perks that let you take the damage of the elemental attacks, but not the status effect. But the big question is how good are these Conditioning perks? Do they work with every attack? In this guide, we show you how good these Conditioning perks are.
New World – How Good Are The Conditioning Perks?
There are many Conditioning perks in New World, but we will be using the Frost Conditioning perk as an example. Basically, the Frost Conditioning perk will let you absorb up 4% of Ice damage every time you get hit, making you become resistant to the Ice attack every time you are hit with Ice damage.
However, for some reason, if the weapon you are being attacked with has an Ice attunement, it does not count. Weird, right? What’s even weirder is that if you get attacked by an Ice skill, let’s say Ice Storm, the Frost Conditioning perk does not activate, meaning it does not register the Ice attacks as, well, Ice attacks.
If the Frost Conditioning perk does not work against Ice attacks or Ice attunement weapons, then what is to say that other Conditioning perks aren’t working correctly? Right now, Conditioning perks are not working well and are not worth it. It is best to leave these Conditioning perks to the side for now, as they feel like they have not been tested properly.
