New World is slowly but surely turning into one of the better MMORPGs out there and for good reason. From the horrible release the developers have been working hard trying to get this game into a better state it so far they’re doing a great job. With constant updates that add new content, new gear as well as changes and more challenges for players, the game is turning to a great game. This time New World has the new mutation for Starstone Barrows and in this guide we’ll show you how to go through this with your party. Just don’t forget the mechanics, you don’t want to be that guy!
NEW Starstone Barrows Mutation Mashup Guide – NW
At the start of the run you’ll run into some trash mobs. Usually you’ll breeze through them in other raids but this time it’s better to clear the top ones first before going down to fight the rest of the mobs. That’s because fighting both of them can destroy your healer’s sanity. We don’t want a grumpy healer.
Further in you’ll find a room filled with lasers, its not really that difficult to go through. There’s this one part where you can see the lasers directly block your path, though you can just sneak around the pillar, just don’t fall off!
Further into the run you’ll encounter the first boss, Simon Gray. For this boss it’s simple, just remember to get as much Lost Ward gear as you can before jumping in. All you need to do is to dodge the massive double handed slams that the boss does.
On to the next boss is Foreman Nakashima, on paper this boss should be tougher than normal but it’s overall an easy fight. Just watch out for the purple chains that snare you as well as the flying ghosts that you need to dodge.
Lastly we go for the final boss which is Greundgul the Regent. Another easy fight if you have the proper gear. There’s 2 phases on this boss fight and the first one is quite simple, just DPS away to get to phase 2 faster. The Tank needs to aggro the adds to the boss for easy killing.
Phase 2 is the same easy fight but this time the boss does a shock wave attack that will stagger you if you don’t have any grit. Keep that in mind, dodge, DPS and let the tank aggro the adds and you’re good to go!
