The Cursed Forest is a region in V Rising in the northeastern part of Vardoran. Zombies, skeletons and werewolves to name a few, inhabit this scary region. With the new DLC, Secrets of Gloomrot, a new Biome Hazard now envelops the region and with the addition of two new V Blood Bosses. Curse of The Forest
The new DLC brings in a new type of biome hazard, The Curse of the Forest. This is the mist that envelops the whole region. As you stay in the mist you will gain a debuff that stacks up to 100. As it increases, both your vision around the map and your character would be limited. There are two ways to get rid of the curse.
The first one is to free trapped mists around the map. You can do this by getting near, and pressing (F) to free them. Once freed, your debuff would decrease rapidly and slowly gain vision around you, however this effect is only temporary.

New Blood Bosses
Cyril the Cursed Smith
Cyril has no inclination to carry out his tasks because he is cursed with endless life and is a slave to the cult of the damned. However, this torturous existence is all he has ever known because he was traded before he was even born.
This new V Blood boss drops the Wraith Spear ability and the recipe for Dark Silver Ingots, which are valuable in the late game to craft high-tier equipment.
He can be found northeast of Cursed Forest and can be tracked via V-Blood-Window (K)
The Old Wanderer
The elderly survivor sought to explore the cursed forest while being aware of its risks. He discovered strategies to combat the curse when it started to impair his thinking. His odd magical protection kept the curse from fully taking hold thanks to his cloak and a helpful little Wisp he’d captured in a lantern.
This new V Blood Boss drops the recipe to Shroud of the Forest, which can be crafted and equipped to have immunity to the Curse of The Forest biome hazard.
He can be found northeast of Cursed Forest like Cyril.
Reworked Curse Forest Map
With the Curse Forest rework, there have been a lot of adjustments in the location of the points of interests including the Spider Cave. Moreover, additional waygates were added. Here’s the updated map for reference.
Lastly, there have been an addition of 4 castle heart spots to build your home.
A New Monster
The update also features an addition of a new type of ghouls, called Ghosts. They have weapon abilities that track you down, make them go invisible and capitate you.
