All Characters Guide & Their Best Builds (Skills, Gear & Talents)

Here are all the characters in Black Clover M – as well as their best builds (gear & talents) and how to use them effectively (their skills & best team compositions). Feel free to use the Table of Contents below to navigate to whoever character you’re looking to read.

Valkyrie Noelle

Despite her classification as a Defender, Valkyrie Noelle is a particularly offense-oriented character. Her skillset focuses more on dishing out massive damage than on tanking damage for her allies, broadly speaking. Not to say that her defenses are lacking, though, she can still tank as well as dish out damage!

Also, we have a compilation of all our guides for every character in Black Clover M, make sure to check it out as well.

Skills

Using Sea Dragon's Cradle | Black Clover M: Complete Valkyrie Noelle Guide & Build

The most essential part of any character in Black Clover M is their various Skills, so let’s start our Valkyrie Noelle guide detailing what they all do:

  • Sea God Battle Maiden’s Spear (Skill 1) – Attack a single enemy with a spear of water. Consumes all stacks of Sea Dragon’s Spear when used, increasing the attack’s damage by 40% per stack. Also grants a 40% Reduced DMG Taken buff for 1 turn to the ally with the highest All ATK.
  • Sea Dragon’s Cradle (Skill 2) – Noelle summons water bubbles that protect the entire party. The bubbles grant 10% Reduced DMG Taken and Increased CRIT RES Lv.2 buffs for 2 turns.
  • Sea Dragon’s Roar (Special Skill) – Apply Barrier Removal to an enemy and then attack by consuming all stacks of Sea Dragon’s Spear. Each stack consumed will grant a 75% Increased DMG Dealt buff.
  • Combined Attack (Partner Skill) – Attack alongside a partner, dealing damage to a single enemy. Also grants Invulnerability for 1 turn to any partnered mage.
  • Unique Passive – Valkyrie Noelle gives herself 1 stack of Sea Dragon’s Spear every time she’s attacked. You can have up to 4 stacks and they’re consumed by Skill 1 and the Special Skill. Having 4 stacks will remove Immortality from any enemy that Noelle attacks.
    • At 2 dupes, Noelle will also remove Taunt from herself at the start of her turns.
    • When at max dupes, Noelle will give herself a 30% Increased Mobility buff and Increased SPD Lv.1 buff at the start of every fight.
    • All of these passives only take effect if Valkyrie Noelle is the only Defender in your party.

The main thing to keep in mind with Valkyrie Noelle is her Unique Passive. The stacks of Sea Dragon’s Spear from it enable Valkyrie Noelle’s entire gameplan!

Official Valkyrie Noelle Art

Generally speaking, Valkyrie Noelle is pretty easy to gear up. You should just focus on trying to have Gold Attack and Gold Speed sets first and foremost, with Gold Defense sets as your third option. Ideally, you’ll also want to focus on Magic Attack (MATK) as your main stat for every set.

As for the secondary stats, these are the recommended ones for Valkyrie Noelle in Black Clover M:

  • Magic Attack (MATK)
  • Crit Rate
  • Crit DMG
  • Penetration (PEN)

Despite her role as Defender, you’ll want to focus on maximizing her massive damage potential. Boost her offensive stats and she’ll wreck foes easily thanks to her Sea Dragon’s Spear buffs!

Valkyrie Noelle in Black Clover M

The general rule for Talents is similar to Gear selection: you mostly want to increase Noelle’s MATK by any means necessary. However, the Defense and Support Talents are also a good chance to give her an extra boost of survivability. Overall, these are our recommended Talents and which Talent Stones to use for each category:

  • Attack:
    • Increase MATK – Boosts Valkyrie Noelle’s MATK by 7%.
    • Battle Frenzy – Increases Crit Rate by 2.5% every turn, up to 5 turns.
    • Stones – ATK/MATK
  • Defense:
    • Endurance – Increases Defense by 4% and Crit RES by 2% up to 5 times.
    • Increase DEF – Boosts Noelle’s Defense by 20%.
    • Stones – DEF
  • Support:
    • Mage’s Blessing – Gives Noelle a 20% chance to reduce the Cooldown of her Skill 2 by 1 turn.
    • Increase DMG RES – Boosts Damage Resistance by 10%.
    • Stones – Speed and HP

Playstyle Breakdown

Gameplay | Black Clover M: Complete Valkyrie Noelle Guide & Build

Valkyrie Noelle in Black Clover M is basically a battle tank. She’s meant to be your sole Defender in the party and she works best when she’s focused on by enemies, regardless of how you choose to build her. Even her Gear and Talents are somewhat secondary to one thing: her Sea Dragon’s Spear passive. It’s a massive buff to all of her Skills, which allows her to deal massive damage.

Of course, the downside to Sea Dragon’s Spear is that Valkyrie Noelle loses greatly when paired alongside other Defenders. Remember, her passives only work if she’s the only Defender in a party! You won’t get stacks of Sea Dragon’s Spear otherwise.

When she does have stacks of Sea Dragon’s Spear, Valkyrie Noelle turns into an absolute beast. The massive damage increases to her Skill 1 and Special Skill allow her to easily take down foes quickly with single attacks. Not to mention that her Skill 2 also allows her to provide a Defense buff for everyone in the party, making her a decent Defender alongside her offensive prowess.

Valkyrie Noelle attacking a foe

Additionally, since Sea Dragon’s Spear is a self-buff, Valkyrie Noelle works well in basically any party. She doesn’t particularly rely on others to be able to do her best. The only thing to keep in mind is that she needs to be the sole Defender in the party, as we’ve mentioned before. However, it’s also a good idea to pair her with a Healer, such as Witch Queen.

The one big downside for Valkyrie Noelle is that all of her attacks are single-target. She’s great for smaller groups or single enemies, but we recommend pairing her with AoE attackers like Hateful Fana.

Hateful Fana

Fana is a powerful character of the Black Clover universe. Hateful Fana is the representation of Fana from the anime when she possessed the Hateful Third Eye. Hateful Fana is a SSR rarity character that is focused on dealing high amounts of damage. She has the Sense attribute, so she is strong against Technique and weak against Power characters.

Hateful Fana - Black Clover M: Complete Hateful Fana Guide & Build | Skills, Gear, and Talents

  • ATK: 100% (140% at level 5 of the skill).

Ultimate Skill: Salamander’s Roar

Ultimate Skill - Black Clover M: Complete Hateful Fana Guide & Build | Skills, Gear, and Talents

Hateful Fana uses the power of Salamander to cause huge explosive damage to all enemies.

  • Inflicts Barrier Removal on a random ally (even if the ally has no Barrier).
  • If Hatred is not present on self, deal 30% of ATK and MATK as Extra Damage.

  • ATK: 150% (210% at level 5 of the skill).
  • MATK: 150% (210% at level 5 of the skill).

Combined Attack Skill

Hateful Fana combines her attack with another mage to deal damage to an enemy.

  • Inflicts Taunt on the enemy for 1 Turn.

Taunt:

  • The enemy can only attack the caster of the Taunt.

Skill Stats:

  • ATK: 65% (85% at level 5 of the skill).
  • MATK: 65% (85% at level 5 of the skill).

Unique Passive Skill

Passive Skill - Black Clover M: Complete Hateful Fana Guide & Build | Skills, Gear, and Talents

Hateful Fana’s passive skill that helps the team at the start of a battle.

  • If all the allies on the team have Sense attribute, grant them Status Ailment Immunity for 1 turn at the start of the battle.

Status Ailment Immunity:

  • The character is immune to Status Ailments as long as they have this buff active.

Enhanced Passive Skill

Dupe Passive Skill - Black Clover M: Complete Hateful Fana Guide & Build | Skills, Gear, and Talents

Hateful Fana’s enhanced passive skill that is unlocked after Duping her.

At the 2nd Dupe:

  • When Hatred is stacked 5 times, set own HP to 1% of Max HP and then grant Immortality to self for 1 Turn. At the end of the turn, grant 50% of Max HP as HP Recovery.

At the 5th Dupe:

  • Same as the 2nd Dupe, but if afflicted with Taunt or Enhanced Taunt, grant 50% Reduced DMG Taken buff to self for 1 Turn (this does not stack).

Immortality:

  • Impervious to damage as long as the buff is active.

Enhanced Taunt:

  • Character inflicted with this attacks the caster and restores 10% of their MAX HP.

Reduced DMG Taken:

  • Reduces the amount of damage received.

Skills Upgrade Priority

Upgrade the Ultimate Skill first, then the 2nd Skill and the 3rd Skill at the end.

  • Salamander’s Roar > Pincer Movement > Harpe

There is no need to upgrade the Combined Skill as your main focus should be on the Ultimate Skill during the battle. It causes 2 instances of Hatred so by the 3rd or 4th turn, you can deal massive amounts of damage (which is what Hateful Fana is intended for).

Duping

You do not really need to Dupe Hateful Fana as her stats are quite good to begin with unless you have a lot of Duping Crystals available. If you do decide to Dupe her, then make sure to go all the way to Max Dupe as there is no point in Duping her twice just to get the Enhanced Passive Skill.

For gear, your main focus should be on increasing MATK (percentage increase) and then on CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate (aim to get it above 100%). You can use the following gear to achieve it:

Here are the accessories you can equip with Hateful Fana (again focusing on MATK and CRIT DMG):

Most Effective Team

There are not a lot of Mono Green teams to choose from but the ones that are present are pretty good. Here is the best team you can currently build with Hateful Fana:

Best Team - Black Clover M: Complete Hateful Fana Guide & Build | Skills, Gear, and Talents
  • Fana (Hateful)
  • Rill Boismortier (make sure to have his 2nd Skill Paint at level 5)
  • Charlotte (Ceremony)
  • Mereoleona Vermillion (you can also have Licht here for your 2nd team build)

This completes this comprehensive guide on Hateful Fana. One of the crucial members to have on Hateful Fana’s team is Ceremony Charlotte. Without her, the team is incomplete.

Witch Queen

Witch Queen is a Healer class character with SSR rarity and power type who is powerful against sense characters but weak against technique. This character has a very high place in Black Clover M Tier Lists, so you might want to learn more about its skills, gear, and talents.

Witch Queen in Black Clover M.

The Queen of Witches has very powerful skills that are focused on magical abilities. She has three magical skills in total; let’s examine each skill one by one.

Witch Queen in Black Clover M.

Grasp of Fresh Blood

  • [Skill 1] [Single] [ATK: 80%] [MATK: 80%]

Damage an enemy by quickly casting blood magic. Upon performing this skill, she deals continuous damage to an enemy for two turns after inflicting a bleed. Then, she gives a defender ally an HP recovery equal to 15% of their maximum HP.

At the beginning of the turn, Bleed takes damage equal to 5% of one’s maximum HP.

Chamber of Blood

  • [Skill 2] [AoE] [3 turns] [ATK: 60%] [MATK: 60%]

All enemies are harmed by the blood-thorny thorns that emerge from the ground. 50% of the damage done to an enemy for two turns will be continuous poison, bleed, and burn charges.

Burn causes damage equal to 20% of ATK and 20% of M.ATK at the start of your turn. Poison begins each turn with damage equal to 5% of its maximum HP. It stacks one time only.

Bloodstain of Destruction

  • [Special Skill] [AoE] [ATK: 125%] [MATK: 125%]

Large, sharp blood thorns emerge from the ground and inflict damage on all enemies.

Deals constant damage to an opponent for three turns while causing bleeding. Gives all allies 50% lifesteal for two turns. Increases one ally’s HP to 30% of their maximum HP by setting their DEF to the highest level.

Combined Attack

  • [ATK: 65%] [MATK: 65%]

Performs a combined attack with your partner, dealing damage to an enemy. Grants the partnered mage HP recovery equal to 60% of their max HP.

Witch Queen Gear

When we take a look at the witch queen’s stats, we see that she is not one of the fastest characters you can get in the game. This is what we are mostly going to focus on while choosing the best gear for her. A DPS player on the opposing team will quickly destroy your unit if it is slow.

Witch Queen Skills in Black Clover M.

Therefore, try to focus on speed when equipping gear for your Queen of Witches. Use higher point-speed equipment.

Witch Queen best gear options in Black Clover M.

If you do not want to focus on speed completely, you can also add a couple of defense trait equipment as well.

While you can also give her a full HP set, we do not recommend you do that. Once again, your speed is going to be low, and your unit is going to be weak as a health unit. The only time that giving her an HP set is going to work is when you manage to get your Witch Queen to LR+ status.

To summarize this part, you should focus on Speed > Defense > Health.

Witch Queen Gear in Black Clover M.

Accessories

When it comes to accessories, it might be tough to get your hands on different types of accessories. That is why you should try to use whatever you already have. But our pick in this section would be focusing on the defense. Try to use as many accessories that have the defense trait as you can.

Talent Tree

There are three sections of the talent tree, the red one mostly focuses on the attack, the blue one is to choose which kind of defensive (including health increase) traits you need, and the green one is to focus on your talents.

Witch Queen skill tree in Black Clover M.

For the red part of the talent tree, you can increase the skills below:

  • 7% Magic Attack Increase
  • 2.5% Crit Rate

Once again, you do not have to focus on the Witch Queen’s attack stats, so do not prioritize this. However, if you would like to use your skill points on this, you simply can.

Witch Queen red talent tree in Black Clover M.

For the blue part, you can use your skill points on:

  • 20% Defense
  • 4% Defense and 2% Crit Rate

Another combination you can use is:

  • 4% Defense and 2% Crit Rate
  • 5% Health Increase

It is up to you and how you want to play your Queen of Witches. But our recommendation is the first combination.

Witch Queen blue talent tree in Black Clover M.

Now, let’s take a look at the green section of the skill tree. For this part, we advice you to use the combination below.

  • 20% Chance of Reset
  • 10% Damage Resistance

Skill Page

Now, when it comes to Witch Queen, skill pages are not that important. However, if you have her original skill page, you can feel free to use it to make her stronger. The Queen of Witches’ skill page is Imperfect.

When you apply it to her, she gains a passive skill that provides her a 40/100% chance to offer all of her companions a 70/85% [increased DEF] buff for two turns whenever an enemy hits her while she is taking continuous [bleed] damage.

Witch Queen Imperfect Skill Page in Black Clover M.

To be precise, your unit’s skill will change from:

  • 50% to inflict continuous [Poison], [Bleed], and [Burn] damage on an enemy for 2 turn(s).

to this one,

  • 50% to inflict continuous [Poison], [Bleed], and [Burn] damage on an enemy for 2 turn(s).
  • Inflicts a [Reduced HP Recovery Received Lv. 4] debuff on an enemy for turn(s).
Witch Queen Imperfect Skill Page showcase in Black Clover M.

If you do not have the Imperfect skill page, you can also use the Breath of Wind skill page as well. This one will:

  • Give yourself immunity to [status changes] for 1 turn(s) at the start of each wave. Grants [HP Recovery] equal to 7% of your HP to yourself upon being affected by a status change.

It is not that easy to get the skill page you want, so if you do not have either of these pages, try to work with whatever you have. However, make sure to focus on health or defense to make your unit survive longer during the battle.

  2. Black Asta, Witch Queen, Golden Dawn Yuno, and Halloween Charmy.
  3. Black Asta, Witch Queen, S5 Charlotte, and William.
  4. Black Asta, Witch Queen, Swimsuit Noelle, and Halloween Charmy.
  5. Black Asta, Witch Queen, S5 Charlotte, and Julius.
Best team combination for Witch Queen in Black Clover M.

Magna

Magna is an Attacker character that focuses on the Burn effect using his skills. He wants to stack this effect up to three times to maximize the damage from his Special Skill. Magna scales off of the ATK stat so you will want to have the right units to provide him with the buff he needs.

Overall, he is a great character that you can use for both PvP and PvE. He is a single-target damage-focused character that allows you to deal high-damage attacks to a single enemy.

Skills

Magna’s first skill is Fire Swig. After casting, he will damage an enemy and inflict the Burn effect. If an opponent is already affected by it, he will extend the duration of the Burn to 2 turns.

His next move is Soul Training, which allows him to attack a single enemy. This skill also extends the duration of the effect to 2 turns.

Keep in mind that his Burn effect can stack up to 3 times, allowing him to Burn his opponents with 3 times the damage.

Black Clover M Magna Skill 1 & 2

Magna’s Special skill is Tough Guy’s Hardcore Training. This lets him remove an enemy’s Barrier before attacking them. For every instance of Burn applied, his attacks will gain a 40% Increased Damage Dealt buff.

If he manages to kill an enemy with the Special Skill, he will gain an extra Turn.

Magna’s combined attack with an ally will remove an enemy’s barrier before attacking them.

Black Clover M Magna Special Skill

His Unique Passive allows him to apply the Burn effect on all enemies for 2 turns at the start of the battle.

Here are his Enhanced Passives:

  • LR+2: Upon attacking an enemy taking continuous [Burn] damage, inflicts a [Stun] status ailment for 1 turn(s).
  • LR+5: Upon attacking an enemy taking continuous [Burn] damage, inflicts a [Stun] status ailment for 1 turn(s). Apply [Stun Immunity] to yourself (permanently).
Black Clover M Magna Passives

Skill Pages

For his Skill Pages, there are many different options you can go for:

  • Soul Knock (Magna’s Skill Page): Upon attacking an enemy taking continuous [Burn] damage, there is a 40/100% chance to grant self a 16/40% [Increased SPD] buff for 1 turn(s). This will also modify his skill, allowing you to Block HP Recovery.
Black Clover M Magna Skill Pages
  • Intensive Training: There’s a 10/100% chance when attacking to gain 5/25% Increased Damage per [Burn] affecting the enemy.
  • Mysterious Ancient Book: Applies 7/12% [Increased Damage] to yourself.
  • Lion’s Energy: Applies [Increased All ATK] proportionate to your current HP to yourself. (Max. 15/30%)

Gear

When it comes to Gear, Magna wants ATK, SPD, and DEF. You can also consider getting him some extra crit stats. He is a very squishy unit, so you’ll want to at least have some DEF stats on him. You can also pair him with protective units to provide him the protection he needs.

Black Clover M Magna Gear

Talents

For Magna’s Talents, you can go with the following:

  • Red: Sharp Mind & Increased CRIT DMG.
  • Blue: Iron Will & Increased DEF.
  • Green: Resolution & Increased ACC and PEN.
Black Clover M Magna Talents

Team Recommendations

When it comes to Magna’s teammates, you’ll ideally want to provide him with all the ATK buffs and protection that he needs. Here are some of the character recommendations:

If you are looking to provide your Magna with all the SP buffs along with Barrier protection, consider taking a look at Ceremony Charlotte. She is also one of the characters that you can obtain, so make sure you get Charlotte and pair her with Magna.

Black Clover M Magna Team Comps

That’s how you can build Magna in Black Clover M. If you are looking for a single-target damage dealer, then make sure you add him to your list of characters to get. Regardless of whether you are playing in PvP or PvE, Magna will always manage to give you the damage you need.

Swimsuit Vanessa

Overall, Swimsuit Vanessa is a decent PvP-focused unit that can protect slow but powerful allies so they can attack all the enemies. She is a unit that really shines in real-time PvP gameplay, where she can restrict a lot of options of the enemy.

However, make sure you keep the speed of your units in mind when building teammates with Swimsuit Vanessa, so that you can ensure her Protection effects apply to the right target.

First, let’s learn more about Swimsuit Vanessa’s skills.

Skill 1 – Crimson Thread

Her first skill is Crimson Thread, which will let her damage her enemies and apply the Bleed Effect. This will make the target take damage equal to 5% of their maximum health at the start of the turn.

Skill 2 – Love Smash

Swimsuit Vanessa’s second skill is Love Smash. After casting, she will attack an enemy while granting herself the Blessing of Protection buff for two turns. This buff lets her health herself by 8% of max HP when damage is blocked.

Black Clover M Skills 1 & 2

Special Skill – Thread of Restraint

Her special skill is Thread of Restraint. After casting, she will attack all enemies and have a 50% chance to inflict the Silence effect on an enemy for 2 turns. This enemy will become unable to use any skills except Skill I.

The Combined Attack will let you deal 30% Increased Damage if an enemy is inflicted with a Debuff. Whenever you use the skill, make sure you use it on a debuffed enemy for the extra damage.

Black Clover M Special Skill

Passive

Her Passive lets you grant Protection to the ally with the lowest SPD for 2 turns. When an ally has this buff, they cannot be selected as a target of an attack. This skill is great for PvP where you can protect a strong teammate with low SPD.

The enhanced passive also gives you extra damage depending on your DMG RES stat.

Black Clover M Vanessa Passives

Skill Pages

Her Skill Page, Beach Prank, isn’t the best since the DMG RES effect isn’t guaranteed to trigger every round. This means that it can be inconsistent for you to maintain the damage output.

There are other options that you can consider:

  • Chief’s Values: Applies 12%/24% Increased CRIT DMG to yourself.
  • Breath of Darkness/Blazing Hate: Applies 10%/20% Increased All ATK to self.
  • Condemnation of Light: Applies 7%/15% Increased DMG and 7% Increased CRIT Rate to self.

Gear

For sub-stats, you’ll want to have a lot of DMG RES, so that you can make use of the passive that scales based on your DMG RES.

When it comes to main stats, you will want stats like Crit Rate, Crit Damage, Speed, and Attack stats to maximize Vanessa’s damage as an Attacker unit.

Black Clover M Gear

Talents

For Vanessa’s talents, you can go with the following:

  • Red: Increased MATK/Battle Frenzy.
  • Blue: Increased DEF/Endurance
  • Green: Increased DMG RES/Swiftness

Team Recommendations

Here are some units that you can use along with Vanessa:

This team helps Vanessa shine with all the ATK buffs from Noelle, Gauche, and Valtos. This is one of the best teams you can use with her.

Black Clover M Vanessa Team Comps

That’s how you can build Swimsuit Vanessa in Black Clover M. If you are looking for a decent PvP character that you can use, consider using her. She has all the attack buffs along with the protection effects that let you protect your other teammates on the team.

Season 5 Ceremony Charlotte

Season 5 Ceremony Charlotte is a Supporter character with multiple buffs that can increase your team’s damage. She is also a hybrid with the Defender role with her skills being able to provide defensive buffs to her teammates.

For now, she is one of the best Supporter units that you can use in the game for both PvP and PvE in the Global server.

Skills

First, let’s learn about her skills. Her first skill is Thornvine Sword, which will let her slash an enemy with a thornvine sword, dealing damage.

The attack will also grant an SP +1 buff to the ally with the highest ATK. This allows you to always place the buff on your DPS character, which is very useful.

Her second skill is Blessing of Thornvine. This is a buffing skill that lets you grant an ally an SP +2 buff and Debuff Immunity for 1 turn.

Black Clover M Charlotte Skills

Charlotte’s special skill is Blessing of Blue Rose. This skill lets her buff her whole team, providing the following buffs:

  • 30% Reduced DMG Taken for 2 turns.
  • DEF PEN Lv. 3 Buff to the ally with the highest ATK for 2 turns.
  • If an ally has a Barrier, grant them an Extend Barrier Duration by 1 turn.

Her Combined Attack with another ally will deal damage to an enemy. Attacks after granting the partnered mage 100% of her own Max HP as a Barrier for turns. This is a great tool for her to protect an ally with a Barrier.

When combined with her Special Skill, you can extend the Barrier duration for even longer.

Black Clover M Special Skill

Her passive allows her to create a Barrier for her teammates if all allies belong to the Sense attribute. At the beginning of the battle, she will grant all allies 80% of her max HP as a barrier for 1 turn.

Black Clover M Passives

Gear

Charlotte’s barrier creation scales off of her Max HP, meaning that you will want to have this as one of the primary stats on the character.

Another option that you can go for is the Speed Set, which is also decent on her. When it comes to her accessories, you can go with whatever you have. Ideally, you’ll want Defense, HP, and Damage Resistance if you are able to find a good piece.

Since she is not a damage dealer, you will want to make her tanky so that she survives for as long as possible.

Black Clover M Gear Sets

Talents

When it comes to her Talents, you can go with the following options.

  • Red: 7% Increase in Physical Attack/5% Damage Increase.
  • Blue: 20% DMG Resistance/4% Crit Resistance (Up to 5 times).
  • Green: 20% Chance To Reset Cooldowns/10% DMG Reduction.
Black Clover M Talent

Skill Pages

For Skill Pages, her signature Skill Page, The Briar’s Maiden’s Melancholy) is very good.

  • Upon taking damage from an [Attacker] enemy mage, there is a 25/100% chance to grant a 15/35% [Reduced DMG Taken] buff for 1 turn(s).

You can also consider using Insatiable Quest, which is great for buffing allies’ damage.

  • Upon using “Skill II,” apply 10% [Increased All ATK] to the ally with the highest ATK for 2 turn(s).

Team Recommendations

Here are some of the good allies you can pair with Charlotte.

  • Black Asta: You can protect Black Asta and allow him to hit all enemies in PvP.
  • Noelle: Noelle (Halloween) is a top character for PvP, and will pair very well with Charlotte.
  • Julius: He is another great DPS character you can use along with Charlotte.
  • Noelle (Swimsuit): She is a decent DPS character for both PvP and PvE and is commonly used in many different team comps.
  • You can consider going with a Mono-Green team with all the Sense category characters.
Black Clover M Team Comps Charlotte

That’s how you can build Season 5 Charlotte in Black Clover M! Overall, she is a great support that you can use to protect your teammates and enhance their damage. Her team-wide buffs can provide you with a lot of values, in both PvE and PvP gamemodes.

Vanessa

Vanessa is a brand new character entering the fold in Black Clover M (for Global players, at least), so it’s best to know everything about her in the game. With that said, you should also know everything about the other units in the game, like which characters are the best PVP characters you can use in Black Clover M.

Skills

Vanessa is an SR Sense Supporter. Now, while some of you may be turned away from the fact that Vanessa is an SR instead of an SSR or LR, you might be surprised that she can be one of the best Supporters once you get them up to LR. But that’s the downside with Vanessa, she’s only good as a Supporter.

Her skills are all mostly good for support except for three skills, which are Thread Whip, Combined Attack, and United Attack.

Here are Vanessa’s skills and what they do:

  • Thread Whip
    • Whips an enemy with a thread, dealing damage.

Vanessa skills in Black Clover M.

Gear

Vanessa is a Supporter unit, so she’s not going to be of much help when fighting in a fight. Even her skills practically scream “support unit”. With that said, we will be focusing on keeping her alive during the fight and have her make moves faster compared to everyone else. That way, Vanessa will be able to take damage and then make a move faster thanks to her Speed.

Our primary focus will be equipping gear that focuses on boosting her DEF and Speed stats. However, you can prioritize on what stat you want to increase first. Most would have more DEF gear to keep Vanessa alive, while others would focus on Speed so she can make a move quicker than the opponents.

The gear set I recommend would be 4 UR DEF gear, 2 UR Speed gear, and 1 SSR Speed gear. This prioritizes DEF first, as most players will target Vanessa first due to her support skills.

One of the best gear sets for Vanessa to use in Black Clover M.

Talents

For Vanessa’s Talents, we are not going to be paying much attention to the Attack Talents. After all, Vanessa is 100% support and will remain that way. However, we can do something to increase her damage, even if it’s just a little. The main thing her Talents will be used for is to keep her alive and have her use her skills faster, which is where Defense Talents and Support Talents shine.

Here are the best Talents for Vanessa to use:

  • Attack Talents
    • Battle Frenzy – Grants 2.5% [Increased CRIT Rate] at the start of a wave. (Stacks up to 5 times)
    • Increased MATK – [MATK] +7%
  • Defense Talents
    • Increased DEF – DEF +20%
    • Endurance – Grants [DEF] +4% and [CRIT RES] +2% at the start of a wave. (Stacks up to 5 times)
  • Support Talents
    • Increased DMG RES – [DMG RES] +10%
    • Mage’s Blessing – 20% chance to grant a [Reduced Skill II’s Cooldown by 1 Turn] buff at the start of a turn.

Skill Pages & Teams

Since we have established that Vanessa is a character that is primarily for support, we will have to pick out Skill Pages that works in her favor. Surprisingly, Vanessa has a handful of Skill Pages that actually work better with her, and only one of them is an SR Skill Page while the others are SSR.

Here are the best Skill Pages for Vanessa to use:

  • SSR Skill Pages
    • The Captain’s Condemnation
      • Upon using “Skill II,” grants the ally with the lowest HP [HP Recovery] equal to 6/10% of their maximum HP.
    • Insatiable Quest
      • Upon using “Skill II,” applies 10% [Increased All ATK] to the ally with the highest ATK for 2 turn(s).
    • Moonlight Necklace
      • Applies 40/80% [Increased DEF] and 6/10% [Increased Healing] to yourself.
  • SR Skill Pages
    • Oath of Protection
      • Applies 20/40% [Increased DMG RES] to the ally with the lowest HP for 1 turn(s) upon using “Skill II.”

Zora

Please bear in mind that we do not have any official translations for the game just yet, as Zora has not been released for Global yet. Right now, we only have information from the JP and KR servers, so we will be basing our information on that for now. But there might be a chance that when Zora does release for Global in the future, some things might get changed.

Zora Skills

Zora is not so much of an attacker himself, but he does have some tricks up his sleeves. Zora has skills that can do Reflection Trap, which is possibly the most overpowered thing in this game. In fact, it might make Zora the most busted and broken character yet (for JP and KR players).

That’s because Reflection Trap, when applied, will have 20% of the damage received be reduced and 150% of will be reflected back to the enemy. This has different levels and with each level, the damage goes up. Not only that, but this can be inflicted on Zora or any of his teammates, making everyone a dangerous target to attack in fear of getting hit with the Reflection Trap attack.

Here are his skills and what they do:

Side Note: These are translated from Google Translate, so they are not 100% accurate and will most likely have errors in them as there is no official translation yet.

  • Gray Magic Bullet
    • Fires a magic bullet of ash magic that damages one enemy.
      • Applies [Lv. 1 Reflection Trap] effect to the ally with the highest total attack power for 2 turns.
  • Trap Setting
    • Zora will set up a trap magic on the ally side and give a buff to all allies.
      • Applies [Debuff Blocking] effect to allies for 1 turn with a 60% chance.
      • Inflicts [1 SP Reduction] debuff on all enemies.
      • Applies [Lv. 1 Magic Power Reduction] debuff to all enemies for 1 turn.
  • Trap Protection
    • Zora wears a trap magic circle and gives a buff to the specified ally.
      • Applies [Lv. 3 Reflection Trap] effect to allies for 2 turns.
      • Applies [Lv. 5 Defense Power Increases] buff to allies for 2 turns with a 60% chance.
      • Applies [Lv. 3 Weapon Damage] debuff to the enemy with the highest total attack power for 2 turns.
  • Cooperation Skills
    • Work together with your partner to deal damage to one enemy.
      • Attack after giving the enemy [Immortality Release] effect.
  • Unique Passive
    • If the attribute of all allies is [Technique] at the start of battle, your [Speed 15 increase]
  • Awakening Passive
    • At the start of the turn [Reflection Trap] effect is applied to you. If granted, gives a buff that reduces the amount of damage received by 30% for 1 turn (cannot be stacked).
Zora's skills in Black Clover M.

Zora Skill Page

Now just like with any character in Black Clover M, Zora has his own Skill Page. And unlike most characters, Zora actually can actually do well with his own Skill Page. Here is his Skill Page and what it can do:

  • The Unexalted Trickster
    • Gives [Lv. 1 Magic Reduction] weakening effect to all enemies for 1 year.
    • Gives [Lv. 2 Reflective Trap] effect to all allies for 1 turn.
      • Passive Skill
        • [Attacker Class] When hit by an enemy, there is an 80% chance of inflicting 35% damage to all allies for 2 turns.
        • [Increased Defense] Grants strengthening effect (cannot stack).
Zora's Skill Page in Black Clover M.

Zora Team Composition

Now in order to make Zora be efficient, he needs a team filled with other characters that are also efficient. Seeing as Zora is basically a counterattack character, we need to set him up with a team that has Supporters and Attackers, as Zora is essentially their own Defender with his Reflection Traps.

Here is the best team composition with Zora:

That’s all you need to know about Zora so far in Black Clover M.

Vetto

Vetto is a F2P friendly unit that you can get in the banner for 2024. Many have been thinking if they should pull or skip Vetto, but those that have been suing Vetto have some nice things to say about this unit. But first, let’s learn everything we need to know about this unit.

Skills

Vetto is an SSR Power Defender, but that doesn’t mean he is someone that won’t do a lot of damage. In fact, Vetto’s skills prioritize in dealing damage and debuffing the enemies instead of buffing and defending the team, despite being a Defender. But that makes sense, as Vetto is someone who does have a couple of screws loose, so him dealing a ton of damage and focusing on himself is in character.

Vetto skills in Black Clover M.

Gear

Vetto, as we have established, is a character that focuses on dealing a ton of damage, despite his Defender role. In fact, his skills have proven that, while it doesn’t do a lot of damage initially, it buffs him and sometimes debuffs enemies at the same time, allowing him to deal even more damage at the same time while in the fight.

With that said, we will be building Vetto’s gear to balance out his ATK, DEF, and CRIT DMG. With both his ATK and CRT DMG up, Vetto can do a ton of damage that will decimate his foes on the battle. While his DEF will have Vetto be able to survive being attacked from his enemies. It’s important that we’re balancing Vetto’s stats, not making one stronger than the other.

Personally, the best gear set would be 2 LR ATK gear pieces, 2 LR DEF gear pieces, 1 LR CRIT DMG gear piece, and 1 UR CRIT DMG gear piece.

One of the best gear sets for Vetto to use in Black Clover M.

Talents

For Vetto’s Talents, we will be focusing on increasing his ATK and DEF stats. This will allow him to deal a ton of damage while also being strong enough to withstand the most powerful attacks from enemies.

The focus will be on his Attack and Defense Talents, but his Support Talents can be freely customized. However, I do recommend using the ideal Support Talents for maximum efficiency with this unit.

Here are the best Talents for Vetto to use:

  • Attack Talents
    • Increased ATK – [ATK] +7%
    • Battle Frenzy – Grants 2.5% [Increased CRIT Rate] at the start of a wave. (Stacks up to 5 times)
  • Defense Talents
    • Increased DEF – DEF +20%
    • Endurance – Grants DEF +4% and CRIT RES +2% at the start of a wave (stacks up to 5 times)
  • Support Talents
    • Increased DMG RES – [DMG RES] +10%
    • Swiftness – Grants a [SP+1] buff upon having less than 2 SP(s) at the start of a turn.
Best Talents for Vetto to use in Black Clover M.

Skill Pages & Teams

With Vetto being a Defender unit, he has some good Skill Pages to use with his kit. However, not all of them will bring out the best out of Vetto. That’s why we’ve accumulated a short list of the Skill Pages that will work better with Vetto.

Here are the best Skill Pages for Vetto to use:

  • SSR Skill Pages
    • Blessing of Despair
      • Gain 7/15% Endurance and 5% Crit Res.
    • Breath of Darkness
      • Applies 10/20% [Increased All ATK] to yourself.
  • SR Skill Pages
    • Loyal Sister
      • Has a 20% chance of applying 5/15% [ATK Reduction] to an attacking enemy for 1 turn(s) upon taking damage.
    • Mysterious Ancient Book

Sister Lily

In this complete guide, we’ll take a deeper understanding of Sister Lily’s character as we help you explore her skills, look into her talents, and know what’s the best gear to use for her. But that’s not all! We’ll also provide the best builds for your Sister Lily, using her power to the fullest!

What are Sister Lily’s Abilities?

Sister Lily is a healer class character with R rarity and Power type. Her skills include Aqua Strike, Holy Fist of Love, Earnest Prayer, and Combined Attack. Come and let’s discuss each one!

  • Aqua Strike – Fires a small orb of water at an enemy, dealing damage. It is a single-target attack that deals damage and reduces the enemy’s endurance.
  • Holy Fist of Love – Creates a fist of water to deal damage to an enemy. It is a single-target attack that deals damage and grants an ally with the lowest HP a shield.
  • Earnest Prayer –Grants HP recovery to ally with Water Recovery Magic. It is a healing skill that restores HP to all allies.
  • Combined Attack – Performs a combined attack with another mage, dealing damage to an enemy. It is a passive skill that increases the character’s attack power when attacking with allies.

Skill Page Suggestion & Options

Moving on to skill pages, I have one suggestion but feel free to use it or use something else!

If you want your Skill 1 to inflict reduce endurance level 2, you might want to go for the Gentle Oath skill card. It has a passive skill of HP Recovery + 10%. In case you don’t know you will not have the skill “reduce endurance level 2” if you don’t equip gentle oath, so make sure to keep that in mind!

But then again, it’s for you to decide whether to use the Gentle Oath or pick something else! So here are some other options you could go for:

  • A Feast At The Beach – Grants 10/25% [Reduced DMG Taken] if HP is equal to 90% or higher.
  • An Elegant Beginning – Has a 20/25% chance of removing 1 [Debuff] from all allies upon using “Skill 2”
  • Moonlight Necklace – Applies 40/80% [Increased DEF] and 6/10% [Increased Healing] to yourself.

Best Gear to Equip for Sister Lily

Now that you have a background of her skills, and have chosen the skill card of your choice, you might want to know what gear to equip for your Sister Lily.

My suggestion is to always build for magic attack (MATK). In building for magic attack, you should have UR pieces which includes:

  • Ancient Mage’s Satchel
  • Ancient Mage’s Wand
  • Ominous Whip
  • Conch of the Deep Sea
Best Gear for Sister Lily in Black Clover M.

Talents Suggestion

In terms of talents for Lady Lily, there are three sections: Attack, Defense, and Support. Let’s talk about it!

Attack – I would suggest that you go for Magic Attack (go for Magic Attack as much as possible), so you might want to choose Increased MATK.  Aside from that, you might want to choose Battle Frenzy for increased critical rate

Defense – As for Defense, you can choose Increased DEF for 20% defense. You should also go for Endurance for stacking defense and critical resist.

Support – For support I suggest you go for Swiftness which grants a SP play one buff upon having less than 2 SP(s) which fills up your special point meter faster, and Increased DMG RES because it will give her more survivability.

Halloween Charmy

Despite being a support on all her other versions, S4 Halloween Charmy is a scary good damage dealer. She utilizes burn damage exceptionally well, and here’s a guide which covers her best build, skills, gear and talents, so you can use her at maximum potential!

Skills

First, let’s learn about Halloween Charmy’s Special Skill. This skill applies the Pumpkin Pie effect:

  • When 5 turns have passed, you will deal 600% ATK & MATK Damage. This is like a ticking time bomb that explodes after a while and deals high damage.
  • When the affected character takes their turn, they will transfer the Pumpkin Pie to a random ally. If they have been transferred the Pumpkin twice, they will receive a burn effect for 2 turns.

The Pumpkin Pie also has many other interactions with Halloween Charmy’s other abilities, which will be discussed in the next part.

Her Combined Attack with an ally can remove an enemy’s barrier and deal damage to them.

Black Clover M: Complete S4 Halloween Charmy Guide Special Attack

Next, let’s learn about her passives:

  • Unique Passive: When your HP is below 30%, you will gain an Immortality buff for 1 turn. This effect can only be applied once per battle.
  • Passive: When Pumpkin Pie is removed, you will apply 2 Burn stacks to all enemies for 2 turns. At the start of the turn, you will also apply Burn to a random enemy for 2 turns.
Black Clover M: Complete S4 Halloween Charmy Guide Passives

Her Skill 1 is Pumpkin Launch. This attack lets her damage a single enemy and apply a Burn effect. This burn effect will last for 2 turns, dealing damage equal to 20% of ATK and MATK. The Burn can stack up to 3 times.

The next Skill 2 is Trick or Treat. This is an AoE skill that deals damage to all enemies. If someone is already under the Pumpkin Pie effect, the Pumpkin Pie will explode. This will deal high damage to them and remove the effect.

Black Clover M: Complete S4 Halloween Charmy Guide Skill 1 & 2

Skill Pages

When it comes to Halloween Charmy’s Skill Pages, these are some recommendations that you can use:

  • Pumpkin Feast: A chance to recover your health upon attacking an enemy that has the Burn effect. If they are under the Pumpkin Pie effect, they will be stunned for 1 turn if you hit them with skill 1.
  • Unique Teacher: A 35/100% chance to grant self 20% [Increased Damage] before attacking.
  • Dancing Determination: A 40/60% chance to obtain a 20/40% [Increased CRIT Dmg] buff before you attack.
  • Stubbornness of a Genius: Attacks after applying 10/20% [Increased Damage] to yourself upon using a Special Skill.
  • Breath of Darkness: Applies 10/20% [Increased All ATK].

The best skill page that you’ll want to use for Halloween Charmy is her Skill Page, which is Pumpkin Feast. However, if you do not have it yet, you can also use other skill pages as alternative options.

Gear

When it comes to Halloween Charmy’s gear, you’ll want to focus on the ATK stat. The more ATK & MATK you have on her, the more damage you will deal with your special ability.

You can try to use a combination of these 2 damage sets that give her the ATK stats.

  • Relic of an Ancient Wizard 2/4: ATK and MATK increased by 220.
  • Ominous Equipment 2/4: ATK and MATK increased by 7%.

You can also force the ability to trigger earlier with the Trick or Treat skill. Instead of having to wait for 5 turns, you can force the effect earlier for more damage.

Talent

  • For her Attack talents, you’ll want to have a 7% M.ATK increase.
  • For the Defense Talents, you’ll want to have DEF and CRIT RES.
  • For the Support Talent, you’ll want to go with the 20% to reset your Skill 2 and Accuracy/Penetration for more damage.

Team Recommendations

Keep in mind that Halloween Charmy isn’t very great for PvP. Instead, you’ll want to use her mostly for PvE. Halloween Charmy can have enhanced skill effects if she hits enemies that are already under the Burn effect, this makes Halloween Charmy work very well within a burn team.

  • Fana (Attacker): Fana is an attacker that can apply the Burn effect and synergizes quite well with Charmy.
  • Sally: Sally is a great Supporter Unit that can boost your team’s damage as well as provide many useful effects.
  • Leopold Vermillion (Attacker): This is a great character option for extra-burning effects.
  • Fuegoleon [Clover Academy] (Attacker): This is another second DPS option so you can create a team with the Burn effects.
  • William Vengeance: William is overall great support for most teams. He also has an ignore defense effect that can let Halloween Charmy deal more damage from the Pumpkin effect.
Team Recommendations Sally Black Clover M

That’s how you can start using Halloween Charmy in Black Clover M. She is one of the characters in the game that utilizes the Burn effect. If you pair her with other Burn units, they can synergize very well with one another.

Depending on your situation, you can consider adding Supporter, Defender, or Healer characters to help you deal more damage or provide more defensive capabilities. Sometimes, having more healing and defense can keep you alive and allow you to deal more damage!

Mereoleona

Although we have no set release date for her on global servers, people are already figuring out how to best utilize her in the JP/KR version. First of all, here are all of her skills:

  • Calidos Strike – Inflicts Burn on a single enemy. If they are already inflicted with a continuous damage effect, they will be taunted instead.
  • Calidos Brachium, Barrage – Damages all enemies and removes the barrier of one target. Inflicts Burn as well.
  • Calidos Iron Fist – Deals a lot of damage to a single target. Inflicts Stun if they are affected by Burn. This also deals bonus damage with each Burn stack on the target and removes Immortality.
  • Passive – Applies the Mana Skin effect whenever she has a certain amount of SP. This effect grants 30% damage reduction and Stun Block.
  • Enhanced Passive – Gains a Continuous Damage Block buff whenever she has Mana Skin. Inflicts Burn on all enemies whenever she is attacked.
  • Combined Attack – Inflicts Burn on a single enemy.

Skill Page, Talents, and Gear Setup

As one would expect, the ideal skill page for her is her own signature one. At the time of writing this, we are unsure of its English name, but here is what it does:

  • Grants the entire team the Mana Skin effect whenever she uses Calidos Brachium, Barrage.
  • Mereoleona receives a damage boost whenever she is affected by Mana Skin.

As you can see, there really is no other better option when it comes to her skill page choice due to how much utility her own one grants. Because of this, you’d best pray to get lucky with your pulls.

Black Clover M mereoleona's signature skill page on screen

As for her talents, you will want the 5% Increased DMG and 10% Increased Crit DMG nodes under the attack tree.

On the defense tree, pick the Increased DEF and Endurance nodes, which are staples for every character. Finally, under support, choose Increased DMG RES and Swiftness.

Black Clover M talent tree setup for mereoleona

Finally, for her gear, all you need to focus on is Magic Attack. Even though she is classified as a defender, her abilities are all very aggressive and will benefit a lot from this stat.

Team Setup

For teams, there is still a lot of experimenting being done to figure out where she fits in best, but you can always put her in a well-rounded full Green team.

Otherwise, you can also try to mix her in with some other strong picks in the current meta, such as the following:

Halloween Noelle

There’s a lot of factors that can go into building a great support for your team. Halloween Noelle is a lot like her other versions because she’s a great Debuffer. This means that she specializes in hindering enemies with negative effects.

This unit is also a Technique character so she’s strong against Power and weak against Sense characters. There are specific talents and gear sets that will make the most out of her skills, so here’s how to build her.

Best Team

Given all of this, a fully built Halloween Noelle (with leveled-up skills, gear, and talents) holds her own in battle. She’s more than just a cute outfit and can be a huge asset during PvP when paired with Julius.

Not only that, but she also works incredibly in a mono blue team composition. If you’re interested in reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide for S4 Halloween Noelle!

Swimsuit Yuno

Swimsuit Yuno has a very similar kit to all his other versions. Unlike his Golden Dawn version, however, Swimsuit Yuno is a Sense type unit. This means that he is strong against Technique type characters and weak against Power characters.

Best Gear

Swimsuit Yuno is less of a damage dealer and is primarily a debuffer. When creating your great set, focus on his survivability to keep him alive to assist your other characters on the field.

This means that you don’t want sets that offer a lot of damage. Choose defense and speed sets to keep him alive and get as many debuffs out of him as fast as possible.

This applies to the accessories as well. Give Swimsuit Yuno defense and health accessories to him to increase his survivability.

Pictured below is a good example of a gear loadout that applies this.

Swimsuit Yuno's best gear load out.

The best talents for Swimsuit Yuno will confer the following:

Building Langris around a full Magic Attack is the ideal way to go. Focus on giving him gear that will boost his Magic Attack and speed. At best, give him a high crit rate and crit damage sub stat gear as well to boost his damage output capacity.

The gear kit pictured below is a great example that maximizes Langris’ kit.

Best gear set for Langris.

It’s worth noting that upgrading defense isn’t a priority for Langris since he has Immortality.

Pictured below are the talents you need to prioritize for Langris:

Team Setups

In teams, putting Langris with Defense characters will increase his survivability on the field. Doing this puts him in the position to be a selfish DPS where he can deal big numbers on his own.

Black Clover M Golden Dawn Yuno Winner Preview

Additional tips to building Golden Dawn Yuno is the focus on upgrading his 2nd and Special skill. In terms of PVP, upgrading his first skill and combination skill will give the least benefit, so don’t waste your resources upgrading these first.

Ceremony Yami

When you look at the main skills of Ceremony Yami in the game, you can already see one theme. It’s a character that is there to counter the counterattack meta.

Not only that, but he can also deal a lot of damage with the right setup nuking an enemy with amazing stacking bonuses. Here’s how you can build Ceremony Yami in the game.

NOTE: This is a build guide for Ceremony Yami, not to be confused with Academy Yami. I get that mistake as well.

Gear

It’s a bit difficult to build Ceremony Yami because you’ll be using all of these resources on a character that is a bit mid. Still, if you want the proper gear for this unit then you’ll want to go for anything that adds speed and pen for stats. As always, you’ll want to have most of your gear be in LR since this unit needs it.

Black Clover M Ceremony Yami Gear

Talents

For the talents, you can use the ones shown below. The talents aren’t a major factor in this build and is just a nice bonus to add. You don’t need to fill up all the talents as well to use gems as most of the stat increases, we’ll get are from skill buffs.

Black Clover M Ceremony Yami Talents

Skills

For the skills, most of them are great on paper but executing it properly is where the problem lies. There’s a lot of setup involved with this character, but if you can properly do it then you can get some decent damage.

The first move adds a stack that can increase Yami’s damage. You can stack this buff and use the Dimension Slash to deal massive damage.

Black Clover M Ceremony Yami Attack

The second skill is a bit tricky since it removes counterattacks from the enemies. It will also stun any unit that has continuous bleed and if the unit doesn’t have it then it’ll apply the status effect. The thing is to get the stun you’ll need to do the move again if they didn’t start with a bleed from another unit.

You can use these skills to either stack up as many damage buffs as possible for one big attack or do more of a support role. The latter is where you add continuous bleed on enemies and stun them or remove counterattacks for teams that focus on that.

Gifso

Abilities

First, let’s learn about Gifso’s Passive. His Passive lets him remove a debuff from himself with a 20% chance at the beginning of a turn.

Gifso Passive

His first skill is Fish Monster Toy: Piranha, a single-target damage ability. The skill will also grant a 42% ATK Buff to an ally with the lowest HP for 1 turn.

The second skill is Fish Monster Toy: Monkfish. This skill grants a buff to all allies that increase their damage by 25% for 2 turns. There is also a chance to grant allies a 15% damage increase to bosses.

You should prioritize upgrading the Fish Monster Toy: Monkfish ability first since the buff’s effect will be upgraded even further the higher the skill level. At max level, you can have up to 45% Increased Damage and 35% Increased Damage to Bosses.

Gifso Skill 1 and 2

His Special Skill is Fish Monster Toy: Giant Eel. The skill summons a giant eel to attack an enemy, dealing damage. The skill also grants a 40% increase in ATK and MATK to all allies for 2 turns. If your allies are poisoned, there is a 50% chance to remove the negative effect.

The last ability is Combined Attack. You will perform a combined attack with a partner, dealing damage to an enemy. It also grants a 60% Increased Favored Damage to himself and his partner before attacking.

Gifso Special Skill & Combined Attack

Skill Pages

For his Skill Page, you’ll want to go with the Overflowing Lust Mage Skill Page. This will help him increase all allies’ damage and give them more mobility buffs.

The Passive Skill gives him a 50% to grant 10% Increased Mobility upon using Skill II. This is the best Skill Page that you should use with the character. Other options you can use are:

  • High Priest’s Mischief: Grants 5/10% [Increased HP Recovery received] and 5% [Increased Max HP] to self. This is a great way to give him extra survivability.
  • Insatiable Quest: Upon using “Skill II,” apply 10% [Increased All ATK] to the ally with the highest ATK for 2 turn(s). This is a great way to boost your team’s damage (one of the best Skill Pages you can use with him)
  • The Captain’s Condemnation: Upon using “Skill II,” grants the ally with the lowest HP [HP Recovery] equal to 6/10% of their maximum HP. If you need more survivability, you can use this Skill Page.
Gifso Best Skill Pages

Talent

Here are his best talents:

  • Red: Ferocity and Increased MATK. He doesn’t need much damage so you can get any traits.
  • Blue: Increased DEF and Endurance. These are the two best defense slots to have.
  • Green: Increased DMG RES and Mage’s Blessing. This will reduce your Skill II’s cooldown, letting you buff your allies even more.
Gifso Talents

Gear

For his Gear, you will want to prioritize the ATK or MATK stat. Consider going with the Secret of the Deep Sea that has all the SPD buffs he needs to use more abilities and apply more buffs to allies.

Since he is a support character, he won’t be dealing a lot of damage so you do not need to worry about the ATK stats. As long as you using the full set effect, extra mobility is always more important.

Gifso Gear

Team Recommendations

Overall, he is not a very great character in PvP for Black Clover M. Ideally, you’ll want to use him in PvE circumstances. Here is one good team that you can use with him:

  • Rhya, Gifso, Sally, Finral: This team focuses on Rhya being the only main DPS of the team. With all the damage buffs from the three supporters, Rhya can really nuke in-game bosses.
  • Kiato, Gifso, Noelle, Finral: If you do not rely on this one single DPS, you can also consider using two DPS characters. For example, you can use Kiato and Noelle.
Gifso Teams

Even though Gifso is only a UR rarity character, he has a lot of potential when it comes to buffing nearby allies’ damage. You can pair him with other supports to increase the overall team even further. When it comes to skill pages, you can use many different options depending on what you need!

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Gifso!

Rill

Skills

First, let’s learn about his Passives. His Unique Passive gives him the following effect:

  • Upon using [Skill 1], inflicts [Extend Debuff Duration by 1 turn] to an enemy. This skill is useful to help him maintain his debuffs on his opponents.

If you ever decide to enhance the character, you will unlock the Enhanced Passive:

  • Grants 7% [Increased DMG Dealt] when attacking a Defender.

This Enhanced Passive isn’t considered to be very useful on this character since he is not a damaging character, but a support debuffer. The second thing is that it narrows his damage increase to only against Defender characters, which makes the passive less useful in other situations.

If you go into PvP and you know that the enemy team has a lot of Defender characters, then the Passive will prove to be more effective. However, the change isn’t very significant.

Rill Passive Skills Black Clover M

His first skill is Design. After dealing damage to an enemy, you will gain a MATK buff if you have 4 or more Special Points.

The second skill is Paint, which is an AoE damaging ability. The skill reduces the defense against all enemies for 2 turns by 60%. There is also a 50% chance to remove 2 buffs from an enemy.

With the Paint Skill, this makes him a great Debuffer Support that can shred enemy defense. He is also very effective against enemy Supporters or Healers with his Buff Removal effect.

Make sure you max the Paint Skill first since at Lv. 4 and Lv. 5 your Remove Buff chance will increase by 10%. This totals up to a 20% increase, making the chance 70%.

Black Clover M Skill 1 & 2

His Special Skill is Spring of Restriction. He will deal damage to all enemies and inflict the following debuffs:

  • Increases Damage Taken By 50% all on enemies for 2 turns.
  • 40% to Stun an enemy and make them lose their turn for 1 turn.

The Combined Attack of the character also has an 80% chance of inflicting the [Buff Block] effect, making your enemies unable to obtain buffs.

Black Clover M Special Skill

Skill Pages

For his Skill Pages, it is best for you to go with his Blooming Talent. The Skill Page will give you a 60% chance to reduce a random enemy’s defense by 10% for 2 turns after using a Special Kill.

Other options are:

  • Cunning Commander: Has a 25% chance to apply 2/10% [SPD Reduction] to an enemy for 1 turn(s) upon attacking. This Page is good for PvP.
  • Rose’s Thorn: Has a 35% chance of applying 10/20% [Reduced CRIT RES] to an enemy for 2 turn(s) upon attacking.
  • Silent Stone: Applies 30/50% [Increased DEF] and 10% [Increased Endurance] to yourself.

Talents

For your talents:

  • Red: Increased MATK and Ferocity/Battle Frenzy.
  • Blue: Increased DEF and Endurance.
  • Green: Increased DMG RES and Mage’s Blessings/Swiftness.
Black Clover M Rill Talent

Gear

For his Gear, you’ll want to go for the set effects instead since the other stats don’t really matter. Ideally, you’ll want to go with an SPD set like Secret of The Deep Sea. This set will give you all the SPD stats you need to increase your ability to inflict debuffs.

You can also consider going with The Great Merchant’s Collection set to increase your survivability thanks to the defense increase.

For the normal stats, go with Magic Attack. For other stats, consider having some HP and Defense to boost his survivability.

Black Clover M Rill Gear

Team Recommendations

For team building, you’ll want to have a character that can deal damage, usually the Attacker type. They can deal great damage while utilizing his strong debuffs.

Since you’ll primarily build MATK on the character, he can be very squishy. This is why you’ll want to also have a Defender or Healer on the team to help him survive.

Some good teams for Rill are:

  • Rill, Julius, Lotus, Mars. This team is decent for both PvE and PvP.
  • Rill, Julius, Charmy, Mars. You can run this team in PvP.
  • Rill, Mimosa, Noelle, Rades. This team is also good for both PvE and PvP.

Black Clover M Rill Teams

Mars

As usual, we’re going to discuss about Mars’ skillset and how he tanks for the team. I’ll also include some good team comp recommendations, so you can use him as effectively as possible.

Skills

Mars mainly functions by inflicting Stun on his opponents and then using Taunt to keep their focus on him. His own skillset alos gives himself decent DEF buff with Fortify stats.

He has two combined attacks: the standard has a 50% Stun chance when he hits. Paired with Lotus, he’s able to deal Reduced All Atk. Lv. 1 with decent chance to inflict Taunt.

His Special Skill is extending the debuff which is not as good as his combined attack in most cases.

For Skill Page:

  • The Survival of the Fittest remains the best choice as his signature Skill Page which grants more DEF and Fortify stat.
  • Another SSR option is the Moonlight Necklace which has more DEF and received heals.
  • For SR, you can opt for Loyal to her Sister that gives a small chance to inflict Attack Reduction.
  • And for the most solid R choice, the False Confidence gives solid 30% DEF at maxed Rank with dupes.

Gears

Mars is a tank, naturally, DEF is the preferred stats for him. If you’re still trying to piece together gears for him, focus on getting the ones with DEF main stat.

Once you find yourself with more stamina and opportunities to grind for gears, focus on getting 2-pc Sprouting Mystic Tree which will give him 250 flat DEF stat. Another 2-pc of Secret of the Deep Sea gives extra SPD so he can move more often.

On top of these, you may want to give him 2 or 3 ATK pieces depending on if you want to play in PVP. Because in PVP, you’re going to be facing real players – they aren’t going to keep attacking your tanker if they can help it.

Which means you want your tank to at least be able to deal extra damage, even if small.

Talents

In the Attack wheel, Sharp Mind and Increased ATK are nice. He doesn’t have much of a choice here since the damage dealt increase doesn’t really help him as a tank.

In the Defense wheel, Increased DEF is your priority. Then, you can opt for either Endurance or Iron Will for the other one.

In general, Endurance does better as you get a fix value of DEF and Crit Res buff even in PvP.

In the Support wheel, Mage’s Blessing with Increased DMG Res are going to be a good match for him.

More Skill II cast with permanent DMG Res increase fits his tanker skillset.

Team Composition

Mars’ best partner is Lotus who is able to deal speed reduction on enemies. On top of that, they also do united attack that inflicts Reduced All ATK.

Add the team with William-Yami or William-Asta pair and you have a solid team. Another alternative you can go is adding Yami-Mimosa pair who have physical damage buff with heals. Slower, but with higher chance to survival.

Alternatively, you can pair William-Mars for the stun combo that relies on Mars’ Special Skill that extends stuns.

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Mars!

Yami [Academy]

First up, let’s go over the abilities that Yami [Clover Academy] has. These are the following:

  • Double Strike – Attacks the enemy two times with his wooden sword.
  • Horizontal Slash – Attacks all enemies with a single slash and inflicts Block HP Recovery for a single turn. Also grants him +1 SP
  • Teacher’s Dignity – Knocks one enemy down and inflicts -3 SP on them, as well as two turns of Total Silence.
  • Combined Attack – Removes the target’s barrier and attacks them.

The best way to take advantage of his kit is by pairing him up with another character who can grant him SP. This will allow him to spam his high damage abilities and inflict all sorts of useful debuffs.

Black Clover M combat

Now, if you are feeling lucky, you can also try to pull for his special Skill Page called Easy-Going Teacher, which greatly increases his passive and active SP regeneration, as well as add a bit more damage to his Horizontal Slash ability.

Meanwhile, if you don’t have his signature skill page, simply go for something that will increase his base attack or speed so you can maximize the amount of damage he can deal.

Also, you should know that if you can upgrade him enough to get his Unique Passive, you will have an even bigger advantage against red enemies, as he will get a 15% damage boost against targets that are weak to his type.

Black Clover M yami

Gear & Talents

Spamming Dungeon – Power is the best way to get more gear for this version of Yami. The following sets are the ones that you should be aiming to get for him:

  • Secret of the Deep Sea – Provides speed bonuses that will help him go first in combat.
  • Ominous Gear – Has very powerful damage bonuses, even with just two pieces of the set.

For talents, you will want to prioritize nodes that will maximize his damage output. As for defensive and support talents, try to get Iron Will and Mage’s Blessing.

Swiftness can also be useful as it helps with your SP upkeep. Otherwise, you can pair him up with somebody like Charmy Pappitson for her SP buff.

Black Clover M charmy

Lotus

Lotus Whomalt is one of the SSR characters in Black Clover M. He’s known as one of the best units that debuffs in the game.

It’s a great unit for both PVP and PVE because of its AOE attacks. If you’re planning on building this character, then these are the things you’ll need.

Skill Pages

This unit’s best Skill Page is the Cunning Commander one which has a chance of reducing the enemy’s speed by 2/10% upon attacking.

Speed is important in the game because it’s how fast the mobility gauge fills up, so a unit can attack.

Black Clover M Lotus Skill Page

That means with this debuff you can effectively make sure the enemies attack last before you. It also changes the Smoke Explosion skill to inflict Concentrated Attack for 1 turn which gives a guaranteed critical hit.

Here is the other Skill Pages that you can use with this unit that also works well:

  • Blooming Talent – Gives a defense debuff to enemies.
  • Rose’s Thorn – Reduces critical resistance of enemies.
  • Breath of Darkness – Gives a flat damage bonus.
  • Backlight of a Leaf / Breath of Wind – Immunity to Stun and healing.

Talents

Now that we have the Skill Pages, we’ll also need the best talents. Here are all the talents you’ll need for this unit to be the best:

  • Increased MATK – A main stat that the unit scales off to.
  • Battle Frenzy – Increased Critical Rate.
  • Increased DEF – Flat increase on defense.
  • Iron Will – Grants debuff immunity if low on HP.
    • Endurance – You can also go for this one if you want to maximize defense.
  • Swiftness – SP +1 is generally a great talent for anyone.
  • Increased DMG RES – More defenses.
Black Clover M Lotus Talents

Gear

When going for gear in the game any of the best rarity gear with Magic Attack as the main stat works. The secondary stats with HP and Defense will also help with this character’s stats.

Critical Resistance is the last one you’ll want to increase if you have it. Just make sure most of them are LR gear, so you can maximize it!

Black Clover M Lotus Gear

Team Composition

For the team, it’s best to pair Lotus with Mars. Another great addition is William and Yami with the former doing damage reduction as well as the Counter.

Mars also has some Debuff Immunity it can wreak havoc with Lotus there.

The Mars and Lotus pair works well with any team as long as the other two members work well. If you don’t have Mars, then a Lotus, Asta, Valtos, Finral team is a good alternative.

Generally, Lotus is great for any team since his debuffs can make the enemies take more damage.

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Lotus!

Black Clover M Lotus Team

Julius

Julius is a blue attacker unit with insane damage and debuff potential. This is due to how his abilities prevent enemies from using their abilities or simply stunning them completely. Here is his kit:

  • Accelerating Bullet – Decreases an enemy’s stamina. On a critical hit, this ability also grants his team extra stamina.
  • Distorted Time – This ability has a 50% chance of disabling the target’s Skill 2 for two turns, and it increases his speed temporarily.
  • Chrono Stasis – Stuns his target and decreases their stamina by 20%. If this ability kills the target, Julius gains an extra turn.
  • Combined Attack – Decreases an enemy’s stamina and deals increased damage if he has a buff on him.

In addition to these abilities, he also has a passive skill that allows him to revive himself on death with 45% of his maximum health once per battle, making him incredibly annoying to fight.

Black Clover M julius

Skill Pages & Talents

The absolute best skill page for Julius is his signature one, which is Pride of the Wizard King. Not only does it increase his overall damage, but it also significantly boosts his ability to reduce the enemy team’s stamina.

Alternative choices can be pretty much any page that increases all attack or critical rate, as he is a DPS character who can capitalize on these stats.

Black Clover M julius skill page

For his talents, the best choice for the attack category will be to simply increase his magic damage stats. A good alternative is to boost his critical damage as well.

As for defense and support talents, prioritize increasing his defense stats and speed. The node that increases defense per wave is especially useful in PVE content as it will improve his survivability.

Black Clover M talents

Gear Sets

Due to how his skills work, you will want to focus on gear that increases magic attack, as well as speed and critical damage.

For sub stats, try to get even more critical rate or damage. He does a ton of burst damage, so you want him to be able to obliterate foes every time he goes through his skills.

Black Clover M julius gear

Team Setup

When it comes to how you should setup your team with Julius, basically just pair him up with a strong healer and shield generator. This will boost his already high survivability to the point where his passive may not even be needed.

If you have them, he absolutely goes well with two other new characters, Charmy [Swimsuit] and Noelle [Swimsuit].

This composition, along with an extra buff generating unit like William Vangeance, will be able to both deal and take a lot of punishment with ease.

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Julius!

Black Clover M julius in PVP

Summer Noelle

Noelle [Swimsuit] is a red attacker who can buff allies and grant barriers to her team. Her full ability list is as follows:

  • Aqua Wave – Deals damage to all enemies and does bonus damage if she has a barrier or Blessing of Water on herself.
  • Skill Healing – Buffs one ally with Blessing of Water and grants everyone a barrier, as well as a boost in favored damage.
  • You Started It! – Buffs herself for two turns and hits all enemies with an area of effect attack.
  • Combined Attack – Deals damage to every enemy. This damage is increased if she has a buff on her.
Black Clover M noelle combat

Skill Pages

Funnily enough, her signature skill page does not seem to be the best option as it merely grants her a small chance of gaining a barrier upon being attacked. It gives her a decent healing ability, but there are much better options that will boost both her DPS and barriers.

Since most of her abilities scale with magic attack, consider skill pages such as Breath of Darkness, Blazing Hate, Pride of the Wizard King, and Sharp Eye.

These will all increase the effectiveness of her abilities.

Backlight of a Leaf can be an okay alternative as well, since it will render her immune to stuns at the start of each encounter.

This will ensure that she can cast her abilities before she gets hit with any crowd control effects.

Black Clover M pve combat

Talents

For talents, you will want to prioritize magic attack and crit rate for the attack category. As for defense, your best options will be Increased DEF and Endurance.

Now, for her support talents, you should get Mage’s Blessing to potentially reduce her cooldowns at the start of each turn. Damage resistance can also come in clutch as it will make her slightly tankier.

Black Clover M talents

Gear & Team Setup

The main thing you want to be looking for when it comes to gear are items that increase her magic attack. In the same vein, you will also need the MATK % sub stat to stack even more power on her barriers and damage.

You’d also want to ensure that you’ve equipped her with the maximized or best gear possible like LR Gears!

In addition to that, you may also want sub stats such as crit rate and resistance. On the other hand, try to avoid getting base attack boosts, as she doesn’t benefit too much from such bonuses.

In terms of team composition, she slots in well with pretty much any team that already has decent speed and stamina buffs, as well as shielding or healing capabilities like Charmy [Swimsuit].

Just keep in mind that you may need another damage dealer like Julius to really dish out a lot of punishment depending on what you’re facing.

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on [Swimsuit] Noelle!

Black Clover M team

Summer Charmy

As a blue healer, this version of Charmy can comfortably slot into any team that doesn’t already have a dedicated healer. Her abilities, which are mainly centered around healing and buffing, are as follows:

  • Cumulus – Deals damage to one enemy while also giving her ally with the lowest health a temporary HP recovery buff.
  • Shaved Ice – This ability grants her whole team two turns of HP recovery, and it removes any damage over time effect that is currently affecting her team.
  • Barbecue Party! – Aside from granting the team two turns of HP recovery, it also gives them a relatively strong defense boost.
  • Combined Attack – She greatly buffs her partner’s magic attack and has the possibility of giving them a special point as well.
Black Clover M charmy combat

Skill Pages

Unsurprisingly, the best skill page for her is her own signature one, as it further improves her Shaved Ice ability by having it grant increased crit damage resistance on top of the heals and damage over time dispel.

Adventurer’s Journal can also be a decent alternative, as it will increase the effectiveness of her healing due to having a much higher max HP.

If you find yourself needing more survivability, Backlight of a Leaf and Breath of Wind can be good choices too.

Black Clover M charmy special ability

Talents

For her talents, under the attack category, feel free to pick anything here as these stats are relatively unimportant due to her role as a healer.

For her defense talents, prioritize the node that increases her maximum HP as this boosts her healing capabilities.

As for support talents, the ideal choice for most situations will likely be Mage’s Blessing due to the potential to reduce her cooldowns, allowing her to spam more heals.

Black Clover M talents

Gear & Team Setup

When it comes to gear, prioritize sets that boost her speed and HP. You could also get items that increase her healing.

If you’re looking forward to providing her with the best gear, check out our guide on how to maximize and get the most LR Gears!

You pretty much just want to stack up her health and defense, so focus on increasing both of those through the items’ sub stats as well.

As for her ideal team, as mentioned earlier, she can pretty much slot-in to any team due to her nature as a main healer unit:

  • For PVE, especially, you could just go for a full blue team with her depending on what you’re facing.
  • For PVP content, you can try to pair her with somebody who can repeatedly increase the team’s defense, such as Mars, in order to make the whole squad virtually unkillable.

Black Clover M team composition

Gauche

Gauche is one of the supporting characters in Black Clover M. That means most of his moves are there to make allies stronger. Not to be confused with Debuffers that make enemies weaker.

With the new banners going on in the game right now, there’s a better chance for you to get him. When built right, he’s one of the best support units there are!

Here’s how you can build this character to maximize his effectiveness!

Gear

The main stats that you’ll be looking for in Gauche’s gear are HP, Defense, and Magick Attack. Mainly, you’ll want to have base stats as either defense or HP with Magic Attack being the last priority. Speed is also great if you can have them with these stats so that he can get his buffs out first.

Black Clover M Gauche Gear

Team Composition & Skill Usage

For the best composition for Gauche, we’ll be going with all of the Season 2 characters. That means Season 2 – Gauche, Sally, Noelle [Swimsuit], and Charmy [Swimsuit] being the team build.

The focus of this build is for all the characters to use their ultimate skills to boost Noelle.

Gauche’s ultimate buffs all allies with more defense and attack accuracy. Sally’s ultimate is an attack that also buffs allies with Attack and Magic Attacks bonuses.

Noelle can pull up a barrier and Charmy can also heal up when needed.

Black Clover M Gauche Team Composition And Skill Usage

After doing all of that, you can go back to Gauche and use his skills to buff Noelle some more, same with Sally.

If done correctly, Noelle will have all the buffs she can get from the team and can deal massive damage with her ultimate.

That’s how you can build Gauche as one of the best support units in Black Clover M. Now, go out there and try it out yourself!

Black Asta

As stated before, Black Asta has gotten a little tweak to his kit and how he works for Global release. Our previous Black Asta guide may be a bit outdated now, but there are some things that are still the same.

Skills

Black Asta is an SSR Power Defender, which makes him a powerhouse as both a tank and a DPS unit. However, he doesn’t act as a Defender to his allies.

He mostly prioritizes himself, especially when he has Anti-Magic inflicted on himself. When he does, he can do a lot of buffs to himself while also debuffing his enemies.

Here are Black Asta’s skills and what they do:

  • Demon Slayer Sword

      • Anti-Magic: Per 1,500 DEF, grants 15% [Increased DMG Dealt] and immunity to [Status Ailments].

Gear

Black Asta is a powerful unit by himself, so we don’t need to increase his ATK or anything like that. But, who says no to a little more power, right? The best gear we can give for Black Asta is a combination of ATK, DEF, and Speed.

With an increased ATK and Speed, Black Asta can decimate his opponents quickly. And if they do attack him, his DEF will allow him to tank those hits and keep him standing.

Ideally, we will want to have at least 3 LR ATK gear pieces, 2 LR DEF gear pieces, and 2 Speed gear pieces. However, we can also do 2 LR AT gear pieces and 3 Speed gear pieces instead, as he already is a powerful unit with high ATK stats.

One of the best gear sets for Black Asta to use in Black Clover M.

Talents

For Black Asta’ Talents, the focus will be to primarily increase his damage output while also increasing his ability to survive in a fight.

His Attack Talents will be primarily just for increasing his ATK stats and increasing the DMG he can do, while his Defense Talents and Support Talents will be to increase his DEF and grant him some buffs to help him fight against the debuffs his opponents might give him.

Here are the best Talents for Black Asta to use:

  • Attack Talents
    • Increased ATK – [ATK] +7%
    • Sharp Mind – [DMG Dealt] +5%
  • Defense Talents
    • Increased DEF – DEF +20%
    • Iron Will – Grants [Debuff Immunity] for 1 turn(s) if HP is equal to or lower than 35%.
  • Support Talents
    • Resolution – Grants [Debuff Immunity] for 1 turn(s) upon resisting damage successfully.
    • Increased ACC and PEN – [ACC] +5%, [PEN] +5%
Best Talents for Black Asta to use in Black Clover M.

Skill Pages & Teams

With Black Asta being a unit that can deal a ton of damage, we can either go two ways for his Skill Pages. On one hand, we can increase his damage to make him a bigger menace on the battlefield.

On the other, we can take a break from giving him too much power and increase his chances to survive a fight.

Here are the best Skill Pages for Black Asta to use:

  • SSR Skill Pages
    • The Power of the Unknown
      • If [Anti-Magic] is present on self, grants 10/25% [Increased DMG Dealt] to self per 1500 DEF.
    • Survival of the Fittest
      • Applies 4/8% [Fortify] to yourself upon taking damage. (Stacks up to 4 time(s) and the effect resets at the start of each turn).

Licht

When looking at Licht’s stats in the game, you’ll notice that he has high stats when it comes to anything CRIT. High CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and even CRIT RES.

With that information available, we can tell that Licht is a beast when it comes to CRIT, so we focus on building his CRIT to further make it more powerful.

But first, let’s look at the skills he has available:

Light Swords of Conviction

The first skill is the Light Swords of Conviction, where Licht will throw down a spiked light sword at an enemy to deal damage.

You will notice that there is a buff that will only be applied to him, which increases his CRIT Rate by 22%. Bear in mind that this won’t stack and will only apply to him, no one else.

Light Swords of Conviction skill by Licht in Black Clover M.

Light Whip of Judgment

His second skill is called the Light Whip of Judgment. This skill will attack a singular enemy with a whip made of light that deals damage.

This time, there will be 2 buffs that will be applied to Licht and one debuff.

His CRIT Rate will increase by 26% and he will also be able to ignore 20% of the targeted enemy’s DEF when dealing damage.

The debuff in question, called Buff Immunity, is applied to the enemy when hit.

Basically, if someone tries to place a buff on the inflicted enemy, that buff will not happen and will instead just leave the enemy without any buffs until they are defeated.

Light Whip of Judgment skill by Licht in Black Clover M.

Ray of Divine Punishment

For Licht’s ultimate, he has the Ray of Divine Punishment ultimate. This is an AoE attack that deals damage to all enemies in the fight. This will also increase Licht’s CRIT Rate by 22%.

It’s not a bad skill, but it is definitely disappointing for only applying one buff on Licht. It does make up for it by dealing a ton of damage on all enemies.

Ray of Divine Punishment ultimate skill by Licht in Black Clover M.

United Attack

In order to get a United Attack with Licht, Rhya must be in the same party as him.

Once they are both in the same party, Licht and Rhya will do a high damage AoE United Attack by summoning a hail of swords made of light to all enemies.

Pairing this with the DEF PEN Lv. 2 buff that ignores 20% of the enemy’s DEF, this can deal a lot of damage.

United Attack with Licht and Rhya in Black Clover M.

Unique Passive

Licht might have the most meta passive in the game. He has a Unique Passive called Immortality that is triggered when his HP is below 30% in a battle.

This will only be triggered once per battle, and it will only last for 1 turn. If he is defeated when Immortality is in play, he will simply be resurrected to continue fighting.

Licht's Unique Passive in Black Clover M.

Should You Fully Max Out His Stats?

Licht has great CRIT stats already, but if you were to max him out in the game, he is among the best characters with CRIT stats in the game.

A debate can be made that he is the best CRIT based character. Maxing him out will give you amazing stats, plus a 20% CRIT DMG increase to his already impressive CRIT stats.

Is it worth it? Absolutely. But do you need to go all the way? Not really, as his 2-star enhancement passive is already good enough.

I would only recommend maxing him out if you need a high CRIT based character.

Maxed out Licht in Black Clover M.

Talents

As we’ve established that Licht is a CRIT character, it’s obvious how his Talents are going to go. Primarily, we want to increase his CRIT stats and DMG even more.

Sharp Mind and Increased CRIT DMG are the two important Talents that needs to be active at all times.

For the others, we can focus on getting his DEF up, as well as his RES against damage.

Swiftness and Endurance are also two great Talents that increases his efficiency in battle.

Licht's ideal Talents in Black Clover M.

Gear

For Gear, we’re looking to have Licht attack first, as he can do a lot of damage due to him being built as a high DMG and CRIT character.

If we want that to happen, we need to focus on equipping gear that has high DMG, high CRIT, and high Speed.

Equip any gear that has these stats, and your Licht will be able to go first and deal more damage at the same time.

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Licht!

Ideal Gear for Licht in Black Clover M.

Mimosa

We’ll start from the skill, which is basically how we should plan around building characters in the game.

The skill defines which stats they scale off, gear-type that complements that, and allies that collaborate well with them.

Then, we’ll talk about the Talents which are basically additional buffs they can get. And finally, the team composition.

Skills

For Mimosa, her heal scales off her MATK. She’s similar to Charmy in terms of healing in this way.

Her Special Skill is Resurrection, a skill no other has. This is a skill that can turn the table around in boss fights or if you’re trying to get by a very difficult wave.

Obviously, her designated skill page, An Elegant Beginning is her best choice. The page specifically buffs her skills.

The best alternative is the Royal Family’s Respect which grants her extra MATK after using her skill. Or if you’re not using Charmy, you can use her signature skill page, Meat Enthusiast.

Black Clover M Mimosa skills

Gears

As for the Gears, there’s currently no full-set that truly fits Mimosa’s kit. Since she scales off MATK and is mainly a healer, most of the gears right now are more for DPS purposes.

On top of that, you might not have the luxury to even choose right now because you haven’t grind that far yet.

But slapping her multiple 2-piece for that extra MATK buffs are enough. Seek out for mostly MATK main stat with HP, DEF, or Crit Res substats.

The reason for this is because Mimosa has a tendency to die without those. You want her to survive from being one-hit, so these are necessary.

Talents

In the Attack wheel, naturally Increased MATK is your priority. For the other one, you can pick between Ferocity or Battle Frenzy.

And none of them are especially better than the other since you’re not really building her to deal damage, nor does she have any damaging skill.

In the Defense wheel, Iron Will and Increased Crit Res are good choices. Iron Will is especially good to keep her alive even in the worst situation.

In the Support wheel, Swiftness and Increased DMG RES. Swiftness grants you extra SP consistently at every start of a turn if you have less than 2.

Increased DMG Res is to increase Mimosa’s survivability. Or if you’re feeling lucky, the Mage’s Blessing is an alternative as it resets Skill II’s cooldown with 20% chance.

Team Composition

Mimosa pairs best with Yami as she grants extra Physical damage to her partner. There are going to be new characters in the future who might pair well thanks to the physical damage buff, so look forward to that!

Then, you can go for William or Lotus for the third member, and then an additional DPS for the final member like Asta.

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Mimosa!

Rhya

Skills

His first ability is Copy Dark Magic “Continuous Slash”. Upon using the skill, Rhya continuously performs a dark slash, dealing damage to all enemies.

If he has a Buff, he will perform an Extra Attack, dealing damage equal to 30% of his ATK and MATK to an enemy.

His second ability is Copy Dark Magic “Gale Slash”. This ability lets him deal damage and copy 2 of an enemy’s buff(s).

The damage of the ability isn’t that good, but you get to copy buffs of an enemy if they have them.

The third ability is Copy Dark Magic: “Dark Cloaked Lightless Slash”, which is his Ultimate move. During this, he casts a powerful Dark Magic attack, dealing damage to an enemy.

  • If he has two or more buffs, he will perform an Extra Attack on an enemy, dealing 70% of ATK and MATK as extra damage.
  • After that, all attacks will grant him a 15% increased damage dealt per buff he has. If he has 10 active buffs, this damage increase will be 150%.

For the Combined Attack, you will want to use it with Licht. You’ll want to level this skill on both characters so that the damage counts for both characters.

His passive will grant him HP Recovery equal to 15% of Max HP when a Buff expires. This can only trigger once per wave.

Black Clover M Team Recommendations

Rades

Skills

First, let’s learn about his passive. His normal passive gives you extra speed, which is a stat that can be useful on almost any character.

The enhanced passive gives you a 30% chance of inflicting a taunt on your opponent, making them unable to attack anyone else on your team.

As a Defender, this will let him take the damage for his team, allowing him to perform his role effectively.

Black Clover M: Complete Rades Guide & Build | Skills, Gear, and Talents Passive

His first ability is No.4 Jimmy, letting him shoot a bullet at an enemy. This attack has a chance of applying a Poison effect that deals damage for 2 turns.

His second ability is No.3 David, letting him shoot out muddy water, dealing damage to all enemies. This is a great AoE damaging ability that lets you damage all of your opponents. Your allies will also gain increased DEF Lv. 2 for two turns.

Black Clover M: Complete Rades Guide & Build | Skills, Gear, and Talents Skills

Your Special Skill is No.1 Carl, letting Rades cast a strong, powerful shield to protect all allies.

  • This barrier will be 140% of his ATK.
  • 50% chance to grant an ally Increased Endurance Lv. 3 for two turns.
  • Grants all allies Status Change Immunity for 2 turns.

The final move in his kit is the Combined Attack with a partnered mage. This attack will have a 60% chance of inflicting a Taunt for two turns. With this, you can Taunt a lot of people if you have a lot of AoE damage.

Black Clover M: Complete Rades Guide & Build | Skills, Gear, and Talents Skill 2

Here’s the Skills Upgrade Priority: No.1 Carl > No.3 David > Combined Attack > No.4 Jimmy.

Gear

For the Gear Set, you will want to go with a 2-set bonus Ominous Whip. This set will give you extra ATK stats, which is a stat that Rades can benefit from.

His barrier scales with ATK so the more you have, the more durable your teammates will be.

Black Clover M Gear Sets

For the remaining two pieces, you’ll want to go with the The Great Merchant’s Collection 2/4 set effects.

The extra defense will make you more durable. Since you are going to Taunt and receive attacks frequently, more defense will mean a lot.

For his sub-stats, consider going for Magic Attack, Defense, or Endurance.

Black Clover M Gear Sets

Talent

For his Red talents, go for:

  • Increased MATK +7%.
  • Battle Frenzy: For the extra crit rate.
  • Ferocity: Really good against bosses.

When it comes to his Blue Talents, go for:

  • Increased Defense +20%
  • Endurance: Defense and Crit Resistance increase.
  • For the middle slot, go for Defense.

For the Green Talents, go for:

  • Swiftness: So Rades can gain his special points back quickly.
  • Increased DMG RES +10% so you can become more tanky.
  • For the middle slot, consider going for SPD stats.
Black Clover M Talent

Skill Pages

Here’s a list of recommended Skill Pages for Rades:

  • Twisted Creed: Grants allies DEF and DMG RES increase.
  • Survival of the Fittest: Chance to inflict Taunt and give yourself a DEF buff.
  • Breath of Darkness: ATK Increase.
  • Keen Eye: This Skill Page focuses on helping you deal more damage.

Best Teams

  • Noelle Silva: She can grant allies a MATK buff, which can help Rades protect his team. She is also a great DPS character overall.
  • Julius: He is amazing in any team, especially with Rades.
  • Season 2 Charmy: She is also a really good healer character that you can use to provide DEF buffs to Rades. With more Defense, he will be able to tank a lot more attacks with his Taunt effects. She can also provide MATK buffs, which can also benefit his Barrier creation.
  • Valtos: He can provide a MATK and a Mobility Buff.
  • Sally: She can also provide your team with a MATK Buff.

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Rades!

Black Clover M Teams

Fana

As stated earlier, Fana has a lot of potential when it comes to effortlessly striking entire enemy teams. With that said, let’s take a quick look at her entire kit:

  • Playful Salamander – Single target fireball attack that has a relatively high chance of burning an enemy, which will deal damage to them for two turns.
  • Salamander’s Whim – This ability hits all enemies and will grant bonus lifesteal to Fana if it hits a target that is suffering from burn.
  • Salamander’s Breath – Deals damage to all enemies and grants bonus All Attack to herself for two turns.
  • Combined Attack – Deals bonus damage if the target has a debuff.
  • United Attack – Replaces Combined Attack if she is in the same team as Vetto, and this inflicts burn on the target.
  • Passive – Fana gains 15% bonus damage if her HP is 100% or above.
  • Enhanced Passive – Grants her a bonus +7-14% favored damage dealt.
Black Clover M fana

Skill Pages

Fana’s signature skill page, Blazing Hate, is the obvious best choice for her. In addition to granting increased All Attack, it also adds a chance to inflict burn with Salamander’s Whim.

However, if you don’t have it, the next best option is something that increases the same type of stats, such as Breath of Darkness or Lion’s Energy.

Black Clover M fana page

Talents

For her talents, your attack nodes will depend on what you currently have. If you are focusing more on base attack, then go for Sharp Mind and Increased ATK.

Your other options here are boosting her crit rate, crit damage, or magic attack.

For defense nodes, keep it simple and choose Endurance and Increased DEF. In the support tree, you’re going to want to get Increased DMG RES and Swiftness.

Black Clover M talents

Gear Setup

For your equipment, you will want to prioritize boosting her magic attack, though you can also increase her base atk as she will be buffing both either way.

As for secondary stats, try to increase her critical rate and damage or accuracy. You can also get some defense if you feel that she is lacking a bit of survivability.

Black Clover M fana gear

Team Setup

A full blue team with units like Mars, Lotus, Yami, or William would work really well with Fana. Charmy can also be great due to her heals. Otherwise, just make sure to have a well-rounded team that covers all the necessary roles.

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Fana!

Black Clover M team with fana

William

As stated earlier, William is a support unit whose main purpose is to sit in the sidelines while constantly buffing his teammates in varying ways. His kit is the following:

  • Twisted Roots – Attacks one target for a small amount of damage with a chance of disabling them for one turn.
  • The Beating of the Magic Tree – Boosts an ally’s attack and speed for two turns, with a chance of granting bonus stamina as well.
  • Magic Tree Arrival – Grants Fortify to all allies, which temporarily reduces how much damage they take from any source. The teammate with the highest attack also gets a single turn of counterattack.
  • Combined Attack – In addition to attacking, William and his partner will get bonus Defense Penetration.
  • Unique Passive – Gives the entire team one turn of Fortify after using a special skill.
  • Enhanced Passive – Small chance of getting increased mobility after taking damage.
Black Clover M william

Skill Page

The ideal skill page for William is his signature The Captain’s Condemnation. It will add a healing component to his second skill that will target whoever currently has the lowest HP in the team.

It also grants any ally targeted with The Beating of the Magic Tree with one turn of debuff immunity, making it great for countering enemies who focus a lot on crowd control.

Other alternatives if you don’t have it include the Moonlight Necklace or Cunning Commander, with the latter being the better option specifically for survivability.

Black Clover M captain's condemnation

Gear Setup

As William currently has the highest speed among all the characters in the game, it is best to capitalize on this by making him even faster with the help of the right equipment.

Because of this, a great option would be the Secret of the Deep Sea set, which grants two different speed buffs. You could also opt for a defense set if you find that he is lacking in survivability.

Having more dupes will also increase his speed, further ensuring that he goes first at all times no matter what.

Black Clover M deep sea set

Talent Setup

For his talents, you can choose pretty much anything under the attack tree as it has little to no effect on how useful he is going to be. If you had to choose, focus on increasing his critical chance.

For the defense tree, focus on the nodes that grant defense to maximize his passive survivability. As for the support nodes, switch between Swiftness for PVE content and Mage’s Blessing for PVP. Pair one of those two with even more damage resistance.

Black Clover M talents

Team Setup

The ideal team setup for William is to place him in a well-rounded group that can cover all the roles. A debuffer like Lotus, a defender like Mars, and someone like Yami (either version of him) to deal damage will work wonders.

Black Clover M blue team

Kahono

In this guide, I will be explaining how Kahono works. From her skills and talents before moving on how to build her efficiently to be a great unit.

Skills

Kahono is an SSR water type unit. She has 4 skills to use, like all other characters in the game. She is a Healer character and just like her class says, she will primarily be a healer or barrier character in your team. Essentially, she is a support character.

Here are the skills you should take note:

  • Destructive Beat
    • Sends out a sound wave filled with mana to cause damage to a single enemy
      • Grants the ally with the lowest HP [Continuous HP Recovery] equal to 4% of their maximum HP for 4 turn(s)
  • Rhythm Barrier
    • Uses her Song Magic to create a barrier around all of her allies that encourages them and grans all of them a buff
      • Grants all allies an [Barrier] equal to 14% of max HP for 2 turn(s)
      • Grants all allies [Increased DEF Lv. 2] for 2 turn(s)
      • Grants all allies [Increased HP Recovery Lv. 2] for 2 turn(s)
  • Healing Lullaby
    • Using her Song Magic, Kahono will play a beautiful melody that heals and buffs all allies
      • Grants all allies an [HP Recovery] equal to 20% of max HP
      • Grants all allies [Increased All ATK Lv. 2] for 2 turn(s)
  • Combined Attack
    • When partnered with someone, they will perform a Combined Attack with the partner on a single enemy
      • Grants the partner an [HP Recovery] equal to 20% of max HP
      • Grants the partner [Increased All ATK Lv. 5] before the attack
Kahono's skills in Black Clover M.

Gear

Like other Healers, Kahono is only at her best when her gear set is focused around surviving.

  • With that in mind, she will need HP and DEF gear to help her tank some of the attacks that can bring down your units with ease.
  • Speed is also good, as it will allow Kahono to make her move faster and heal other units that need it.

Since you will only have 6 gear slots, you will need to use 2 gear pieces for HP, DEF, and Speed. But if you feel like you don’t need that extra Speed gear, you can substitute it for either an HP or DEF gear. Experiment on which stat you think is best to keep Kahono alive.

Best gear for Kahono in Black Clover M.

Talents

Just like with her gear, Kahono will work best if she leans into her support role. So, our primary focus will be making sure her Support Talents are 2x more efficient.

Here are the best talents to use for Kahono:

  • Attack Talents
    • Increased Magic Power – Magic Power increased by 7%
    • Increased CRIT DMG – CRIT DMG +10%
  • Defense Talents
    • Increased DEF – DEF +20%
    • Endurance – Grants DEF +4% and CRIT RES +2% at the start of a wave (stacks up to 5 times)
  • Support Talents
    • Increased DMG RES – Grants a SP +1 buff upon having less than 2 SP(s) at the start of a turn
    • Mage’s Blessing – At the start of the turn, there is a 20% chance to apply the [Skill II] [Cool time reduced by 1 turn] buff
Best Talents for Kahono in Black Clover M.

Skill Pages & Teams

Kahono being a healer means that she won’t be able to use more Skill Pages compared to other characters. With that in mind, we’ll have a very limited choices to pick out.

While almost all of them won’t be efficient for Kahono, we have a couple of Skill Pages from SSR and one SR:

  • SSR Skill Pages
    • Song of Healing – Has a 35% chance of [Restoring] 10/20% of all allies’ maximum HP upon being hit by a CRIT. (Max. 3 time(s) per battle.)
    • Adventurer’s Journal – Applies 10/20% [Increased Max. HP] to yourself.
  • SR Skill Pages
    • Meat Enthusiast – Applies 7/15% [Increased Max. HP] to yourself.

Moving onto teams, Kahono will be able to achieve better synergy if the following units are in the same team as her:

  • Noelle [Summer]
  • Rades
  • Valtos
  • Charmy [Summer]
  • Julius
  • Gauche [Summer]
  • Kiato

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Kahono!

Best teammates for Kahono to have good synergy with in Black Clover M.

Kiato

In this guide, I will be explaining to you how Kiato works and afterwards, we’ll then talk about the best build for his best build and synergies to make him efficient in any fight.

Skills

Kiato is a water type, LR rarity character. So, with that in mind, you’ll know that Kiato is going to deal a ton of damage to those who are weak against his type.

Just like with other characters in the game, Kiato has 4 different skills that you can use. Here are the skills:

  • Cross Slash
    • Deals damage by slashing a single enemy with a cross slash with his two swords
      • Upon having a [Buff], attacks after applying 15% [Increased DMG] to yourself
  • Swirling Torrent
    • An AoE attack where Kiato slashes his enemies by spinning around fast
      •  Attack after applying a 10% [Increased CRIT Rate] buff to self for each [Buff] affecting yourself
  • Dancing Vortex
    • Kiato attacks a single enemy in a dancing motion
      • Upon having 2 or more [Buff(s)], the skill will be a guaranteed CRIT
      • Attack after applying a 15% [Increased ACC] buff to self for each [Buff] affecting yourself
  • Combined Attack
    • When partnered with someone, they will perform a Combined Attack with the partner on a single enemy
      • If an enemy is taking [Continuous Damage], applies 30% [Increased DMG] to yourself before attacking
Kiato skills in Black Clover M.

Gear

Kiato, as a character, is extremely good as a ATK unit. Dealing the most amount of DPS is his specialty, and he can do so if his CRIT DMG stats are way up.

However, that’s not to say that Kiato needs to have an extreme focus on CRIT DMG. In fact, pushing his ATK stat up by equipping gear that focuses ATK is great.

Ideally, we want to aim to increase his CRIT DMG. But thanks to the latest update that added him to Global, he can also have a focus on ATK stats. Essentially, you will need to have:

  • ATK gear
  • PEN gear
  • CRIT DMG gear
Best gear for Kiato in Black Clover M.

Talents

For Talents, we’re looking to do the same with him when it comes to his character: increasing his ATK.

Of course, we also want Kiato to not die from getting hit, so we will also have to give him some talents that will increase his defense. Here are the best talents for Kiato:

  • Attack Talents
    • Sharp Mind – DMG Dealt +5%
    • Increased CRIT DMG – CRIT DMG +10%
  • Defense Talents
    • Increased DEF – DEF +20%
    • Endurance – Grants DEF +4% and CRIT RES +2% at the start of a wave (stacks up to 5 times)
  • Support Talents
    • Increased DMG RES – Grants a SP +1 buff upon having less than 2 SP(s) at the start of a turn
    • Swiftness – DMG RES +10%
Best Talents in Black Clover M.

Skill Pages & Teams

Kiato has a ton of great SSR and SR Skill Pages to use. But interestingly, his Signature is the best out of the bunch.

Not many characters in the game have their own Signature Skill Page as their best Skill Page, but Kiato is one of the few that does better with his. That doesn’t mean that other Skill Pages aren’t good.

Here is a list of other Skill Pages to use for him:

  • SSR Skill Pages
    • Dancing Determination – Before attacking, there’s a 40/60% chance to obtain a 20/40% [Increased CRIT Dmg] buff.
    • The Captain’s Dignity – Applies 2.5/4.5% [Increased CRIT] at the end of an ally’s turn. (Stacks up to 5 times)
    • Breath of Darkness – Applies 10/20% [Increased All ATK] to yourself.
  • SR Skill Pages
    • Sea Serpent’s Pride – Applies 7/15% [Increased CRIT Rate] to yourself.
    • Mysterious Ancient Book – Applies 7/12% [Increased Damage] to yourself.

As for teams, Kiato is able to achieve greater synergy if he is in a team with the following units:

  • Gauche [Summer]
  • Charlotte
  • William
  • Noelle [Summer]
  • Charmy [Summer]
  • Mars
  • Valtos
  • Yami
  • Rades
  • Kahono

If you are looking forward to reading more about this character, make sure to check out our dedicated guide on Kiato!

Best teammates for Kiato to have good synergy with in Black Clover M.

Captain Charlotte

Charlotte is a red debuffer who performs particularly well against bosses due to the status effects that she can apply. Her entire kit is as follows:

  • Thornvine Whip – Hits a single target with a whip that deals 30% more damage if an enemy has a Mark on them.
  • Thorn Garden – Charlotte strikes all enemies and inflicts them with reduced defense for multiple turns. This also has a 50% chance of applying a Mark.
  • Corpse-Hunting Briar Trees – Hits all enemies with vines and inflicts them with reduced attack for multiple turns. This also has a chance to inflict Bleed.
  • Combined Attack – In addition to dealing damage, this also incapacitates the target for a single turn, increasing the amount of damage they take by a lot.
  • United Attack – When paired with Sol Marron, this move deals 30% more damage on any marked enemy.
  • Enhanced Passive – She gains bonus damage if at least one enemy has a Mark. Enhancing her is not recommended, as she isn’t really a damage dealer anyway.
  • Unique Passive – Enemies that become marked will also receive a 20% reduced defense debuff.
Black Clover M charlotte gameplay

Skill Page & Equipment Sets

The best skill page for Charlotte is her signatureone, which is Rose’s Thorn. It upgrades Thorn Garden’s defense debuff and grants the passive chance of inflicting Reduced CRIT RES on an enemy when attacking.

Alternatives that you could try out include Blooming Talent, which adds a chance to inflict a defense reduction debuff on an enemy upon using a special skill.

Cunning Commander could also be useful as its passive will allow you to reduce an enemy’s speed when attacking them, though with a significantly low chance of doing so.

Finally, Royal’s Duty could also be useful, though this will require Charlotte to be hit in order to actually be beneficial.

Black Clover M rose's thorn skill page

As a debuffer, there are no stats to really prioritize here. Instead, you should try to get the following set pieces:

  • Full Traveler’s Essentials Set – This will grant a lot of speed buffs to her at the start of combat and whenever she is affected by a status effect.
  • Two pieces of Secret of the Deep Sea – This will further enhance her bonus speed at the start of combat/every wave.

With these items, you basically guarantee that she goes before almost every attacker in the game, which is how you want it to be if you want to maximize the amount of damage you can do.

Black Clover M charlotte gear

Talent Trees

For Charlotte’s attack talents, simply opt for Increased ATK and Sharp Mind just to add a slight kick to her attacks.

Under the defense tree, the essentials are Increased DEF and Endurance. As for the support nodes, just choose Mage’s Blessing and Increased DMG RES.

Black Clover M mage's blessing talent

Potential Team Setups

Despite having a potential United Attack, the character she pairs with is not particularly good. With that said, for PVE content, you can easily slot her into a full red team consisting of the following characters:

  • Charlotte – The sole debuffer of the squad.
  • Asta – The team’s main damage dealer, and he enables Charlotte’s combined attack.
  • Sally – Will be providing buffs to boost Asta’s damage.
  • Finral – Pretty much plays the same role as Sally.

For PVP game modes, she is not really an ideal choice, though you can still reliably win fights with the following setup:

  • Valtos – Provides speed buffs to the whole team
  • Charlotte – Does her usual debuffs.
  • Julius – Solid damage dealer in general, especially in the current meta.
  • Asta – Fairly viable DPS option.

Captain Fuegoleon

Fuegoleon Vermillion is a green attacker, not to be mistaken with his red Clover Academy version. As his name implies, his abilities all revolve around shooting out fire, and his kit is the following:

  • Ray of Extinction – Fuegoleon attacks with a ray of fire that deals 30% more damage if an enemy is inflicted with a continuous damage status.
  • Onslaught of the Flame Lion – A lion made of fire hits all enemies and has a 50% chance of inflicting Burn for multiple turns.
  • Leo Rugiens – Fuegoleon conjures up a giant lion that will breathe fire on a single enemy. Deals 40% more damage if the target is taking continuous damage and it inflicts Burn as well.
  • Combined Attack – This move will deal 30% more damage if an enemy has an active debuff.
  • United Attack – This replaces the Combined Attack when paired with Nozel Silva. It inflicts Burn on a critical hit and gives the target Reduced Endurance for two turns.
  • Enhanced Passive – Fuegoleon gains 3.5% increased damage when attacking enemies afflicted with Burn. He is worth enhancing only if you plan on using him as your main damage dealer in general.
  • Unique Passive – Whenever he uses his second skill, the target will get two turns worth of Burn. This basically guarantees that he burns everyone.
Black Clover M fuegoleon skills

Skill Page & Equipment

The best skill page for this character is going to be his signature Respectable Rival one. Not only will it grant him increased PEN on his second skill, but he will also passively gain 12% bonus damage overall whenever his HP is 50% or higher.

Alternatively, Blazing Hate or Breath of Darkness can be used to increases his attack stats. Breath of Flame will work well if you are facing bosses with him too.

Black Clover M respectable rival skill page

In terms of equipment, the best thing to do is max out his magic attack. For his specific sets, you will need the following (preferably the gold variants):

  • Two pieces of Ancient Mage’s Relics – This grants the wearer bonus ATK and MATK.
  • Two pieces of Ominous Gear – This will further increase his ATK and MATK.
  • Two pieces of Nature’s Wonders – This will give him bonus penetration to deal even more damage.
Black Clover M fuegoleon gear

Talent Trees

For Fuegoleon’s attack talents, choose the Increased ATK and Sharp Mind to boost his overall damage dealing capabilities.

Next, for defense, Increased DEF and Endurance are the ideal options. For support, Swiftness and Increased DMG RES or Mage’s Blessing and Increased ACC and PEN are always reliable nodes to choose.

Black Clover M mage's blessing talent

Potential Team Setups

For PVE content, he works well with the following characters:

  • Charmy (Swimsuit)– Great healer, and especially nice to have here since this team will be running a bunch of attackers.
  • Fana – Has abilities that inflict Burn and is a decent damage dealer in general.
  • Leopold – Can also inflict Burn and benefits from enemies affected by it as well.
  • Fuegoleon – Greatly benefits from all the Burn that this team will be applying.

In terms of PVP content, you will be going for a more balanced full green setup with the following characters:

  • Mimosa – Main healer of the group.
  • Valtos – As a supporter, he can help boost the team’s speed.
  • Rades – Rades will act as the team’s tank and will be applying barriers throughout the fight.
  • Fuegoleon – He will be the team’s primary damage dealer.

Although he is not a particularly popular character in the game, Jack is a blue attacker who has massive potential in certain game modes if he is built properly. Here are his abilities:

  • Blade Attack – Jack slashes a single target. This has a 60% chance to inflict Bleed for multiple turns.
  • Enhance Physical Ability – Grants the user increased PEN, CRIT Rate, and Speed.
  • Death Scythe – Jack strikes one enemy and deals bonus CRIT damage for eachactive buff. This also has a high chance of inflicting Bleed.
  • Combined Attack – If the target has an active debuff, this attack deals 30% more damage.
  • United Attack – When paired with Yami (red version), both characters will attack with an increased chance to CRIT.
  • Enhanced Passive – Jack deals 7% more damage when attacking enemies affected by a Continuous Damage effect. Enhancing him is generally not recommended.
  • Unique Passive – Grants Jack Sever when using his second skill. This increases how much damage he does based on his remaining HP.
Black Clover M jack gameplay

Skill Page & Equipment

For his skill page, Jack’s signature Thrill of the Struggle will be the best choice due to how it will generally just increase his damage output and add even more penetration to his second skill.

Other choices include Breath of Darkness, Condemnation of Light, and The Captain’s Dignity. These pages, with the exception of the first one, will greatly increase Jack’s CRIT Rate.

Black Clover M jack skill page

As for his gear, it’s a no-brainer that you should be focusing on his attack stats. As for sets, you will be aiming for the following halves:

  • Two pieces of Magic Beast’s Nightmare – This will give Jack 10% bonus CRIT rate whenever his health is at 70% or higher.
  • Two pieces of Chilling Breath – This will grant a 10% bonus CRIT damage buff upon casting a special skill.
  • Two pieces of Noble’s Inheritance (gold) – This will give a CRIT rate bonus of 5%
Black Clover M gear sets for jack

Talent Trees

For his attack talents, the obvious choices are Increased ATK or Increased CRIT DMG and Sharp Mind. Critical damage is better if you have maximized his CRIT Rate.

As for defense, the usual Increased DEF and Endurance nodes will do just fine. Under support, pick Swiftness and Increased DMG RES.

Possible Team Setups

One good PVE team for this character essentially revolves around going all in on Jack in particular. It requires the following units:

  • Jack – The team’s main (and only) damage dealer who will try to nuke enemies as fast as possible.
  • Nebra – Has good stalling and debuffing capabilities that will greatly help with this build.
  • Sally – She can grant bonus CRIT Rate, among other attack-related buffs.
  • William – Provides even more buffs to further enhance Jack’s critical damage.

For PVP, he isn’t really a great unit to use, but if you have to, you can run a full blue squad that has the following units:

  • Jack – Again, the main damage dealer of the team.
  • Lotus – Is a great debuffer that can apply various impactful status effects on enemies.
  • Mars – Solid tank character who can also stun and debuff enemies.
  • Charmy (Swimsuit) – She is just a great healer to have overall.

Leopold

Leopold is a red attacker who specializes in inflicting damage over time effects on enemies and sustaining himself with multiple sources of lifesteal. Here are his abilities:

  • Crimson Flame – Leopold fires a ball of flame that deals damage and heals him for around half of the amount dealt.
  • Flame Burst – This ability hits three enemies and will deal up to 30% bonus damage based on his remaining health. It also has a chance of inflicting Burn on each target.
  • Spiral Flame – Leopold shoots a tornado that will deal bonus damage if the enemy is affected by Burn. It also heals him for a small amount.
  • Combined Attack – This combined move will deal 30% more damage if an enemy is suffering from a status effect.
  • Enhanced Passive – Increases his damage dealt by 5%. Enhancing him may be worth it if you really like this character.
  • Unique Passive – Leopold will deal slightly more damage to enemies affected by Burn.
Black Clover M leopold gameplay

Skill Page & Equipment Sets

Although his signature skill page has a nice bonus of adding extra chances to inflict Burn on enemies, the passive on it is not particularly great due to how it scales off his HP, which you won’t really be focusing on.

Instead, the ideal choices for him are Respectable Rival or Breath of Darkness (easier to acquire), as these will more reliably increase his damage.

Black Clover M skill page leopold

For his items, basically just increase his attack and magic attack stats. For the specific sets, you can opt for the following to boost his overall DPS:

  • Two pieces of Ancient Mage’s Relics – Increases both of his attack stats.
  • Two pieces of Nature’s Wonders – Increases penetration by a decent amount.
  • Two pieces of Ominous Gear – Significantly increases both of his attack stats as well.
Black Clover M gear set

Talent Trees

For his talents, under the attack category, select Increased ATK and Sharp Mind for a decent overall DPS boost.

Under defense, keep it simple with Increased DEF and Endurance. As for support, just choose between Mage’s Blessing and Swiftness on top of Increased DMG RES.

Black Clover M talents

Possible Team Setups

One fairly decent, though strictly only for PVE, setups you can have for Leopold is to basically pair him up with other characters that inflict or benefit from Burn, such as the following:

  • Leopold – Deals more damage against burning enemies.
  • Fuegoleon – Just like Leopold, he deals more damage when enemies are affected by Burn.
  • Fana – Can help you consistently apply Burn to enemies.
  • Charmy (Swimsuit) – Will help keep the team alive with her powerful heals, since the group will have no tank or other means of support.

Unfortunately, he is not really a good choice for PVP due to the current meta. However, if you really want to use him there, you can sub in Valtos over Fana and have Kahono as your healer.

Valtos will basically just continue applying speed bonuses to your team to help you get the upper hand early, while Kahono will be providing some essential buffs on top of her healing and barrier.

Nebra

As a debuffer, Nebra specializes in inflicting all sorts of status effects that will weaken an enemy’s defense and attack stats. In addition to that, she also deals a decent amount of damage for what is essentially a support unit.

Her abilities are the following:

  • Mist Bullet – Attacks an enemy and inflicts an opponent who has the highest Mobility with Reduced Magic Attack.
  • Mist Spider’s Thread – Surrounds the target with mist that reduces their defense for multiple turns and has a chance to disable them temporarily.
  • Solid Mist Clones – Nebra will summon clones that can deal a portion of her damage whenever she casts Mist Bullet.
  • Combined Attack – Deals damage alongside her partnered unit and inflicts two turns worth of Incapacitate, which increases the damage that the affected enemy takes.
  • Enhanced Passive – Increases her Favored Damage Dealt by 5%. It is worth noting that enhancing her is not necessary as damage dealing is not her main function.
Black Clover M nebra gameplay

Skill Page Choices

The best skill page for Nebra is going to be her signature one, Royal’s Confidence. Not only does it add Buff Immunity to her second skill, but it also adds a chance of removing an Increased Defense buff from the target when attacking.

Alternative choices include Blooming Talent, which will give her a chance of inflicting Reduced Defense upon using a special skill. Rose’s Thorn is another option for Reduced Critical Resistance on attack.

Cunning Commander can work too, as it will give her a relatively small chance of inflicting Reduced Speed for a single turn after attacking. Silent Stone could improve her survivability if needed.

Black Clover M skill page nebra

Equipment Sets

For her gear, you will want to prioritize speed. Because of this, the ideal choice will be the Secret of the Deep Sea set, which will grant you the best passive speed buffs you can get from equipment.

This will enable her to go first most of the time, which is essential for a debuffer like her as you will want to apply status effects before your main DPS units start hitting enemies.

If you need more survivability, you could also opt for half of a defense set plus some speed gear. However, this is typically not going to be necessary and it might mess with your turn order.

Black Clover M gear sets

Talent Tree

For her attack talents, choose Ferocity as you will likely be using her against bosses anyway. In addition to that, just pick whichever other node you want (such as bonus Magic Attack), as it won’t matter much in the long run.

For her defense talents, pick Endurance and Increased DEF. In the support tree, pick Increased DMG RES and Swiftness, and also try to slot in a Carved Stone for more speed.

Black Clover M talents

Possible Team Setups

Nebra can work well in arguably any team, and the decision to slot her in will be mainly dependent on the type of content that you plan on doing.

For example, when dealing with something like the Red Squad Boss, you will want to use the following team do deal with its constant self-buffing:

  • Nebra – She must have her signature skill page as well.
  • Julius – Solid DPS that also enables Nebra to use her combined attack.
  • Lotus – Good for supplementary debuffs alongside Nebra.
  • Mars – Incredibly tanky and can inflict further debuffs.

As mentioned earlier, she can work well in practically any PVE team. Just pair her with a good DPS and a supporter (or two) and/or a tank.

Sally

Skills

Sally is an SSR Power Supporter character, meaning that Sally’s strengths lie in giving her allies strengths by using buffs.

Don’t count on Sally to do any debuffing, as that is not what a Supporter does. However, Sally can surprisingly deal a bit of damage if we are to build her correctly. Let’s start off with her skills.

Sally’s skills in Black Clover M.

Here are the skills you will be using as Sally:

  • Whip
    • Sticky Salamander whips its tail, dealing damage to an enemy.
      • Grants 90% [Lifesteal].
  • Powerful Dose
    • Sally gives a dose of special medicine to a designated ally, granting them a buff.
      • Grants an ally [Increased MATK Lv. 4] for 2 turn(s).
      • Grants [Increased CRIT Rate Lv. 4] to an ally for 2 turn(s)
      • 60% chance to grant an ally [Extend Buff Duration] for 2 turn(s)

  • Sticky Salamander

      • Grants all allies [Increased All ATK Lv. 3] for 2 turn(s).
      • Grants all allies with the same attribute [Increased CRIT DMG Lv. 2] for 2 turn(s).
  • Combined Attack
    • Buffs the partnered mage.
      • Grants [Increased M. ATK Lv. 5] to the partnered mage’s attack.
      • 50% chance to grant the partnered mage 10% [Increased Mobility].

Gear

Since Sally is a Supporter, the primary goal for her is to stay alive and provide buffs and other assistance to her allies.

To do this, she needs to have high HP and DEF. Sally has naturally low HP, so she can easily get downed if she is not equipped with gear that increases her HP and DEF stats.

Her DEF stats are good, so the primary focus is to get her HP stats higher. It is recommended to have 3 LR HP gear, 1 UR HP gear, and 2 LR DEF gear.

This is the optimal gear set for Sally to make her an efficient member of the team.

Best gear for Sally to use in Black Clover M.

Talents

Similar to her gear, Sally’s Talents will have a focus on keeping her alive by raising her DEF and giving her more RES.

However, her Attack Talents can be used help increase her DPS so she can at least do some damage when she’s not busy helping her allies.

Here are the best Talents for Sally to use:

  • Attack Talents
    • Increased ATK – [ATK] +7%
    • Battle Frenzy – Grants 2.5% [Increased CRIT Rate] at the start of a wave. (Stacks up to 5 times)
  • Defense Talents
    • Increased DEF – DEF +20%
    • Endurance – Grants DEF +4% and CRIT RES +2% at the start of a wave (stacks up to 5 times)
  • Support Talents
    • Increased DMG RES – Grants a SP +1 buff upon having less than 2 SP(s) at the start of a turn
    • Swiftness – Grants a [SP +1} buff upon having less than 2 SP(s) at the start of a turn
Best Talents for Sally to use in Black Clover M.

Skill Pages & Teams

Sally is a Supporter character, so the Skill Pages that will work well with her will be extremely limited.

In fact, there are only 2 Skill Pages that you can use with Sally for a more efficient Sally. Both of these Skill Pages are SSR, and here are the details for each page:

  • Insatiable Quest
    • Upon using “Skill II,” applies 10% [Increased All ATK] to the ally with the highest ATK for 2 turn(s).
  • Breath of Wind
    • Grants immunity to [Status Changes] to yourself for 1 turn(s) at the start of each wave. Grants [HP Recovery] equal to 7% of your HP to yourself upon being affected by a status change.

For the best teammates that work well with Sally, refer to the following characters:

  • Lotus
  • Mars
  • Noelle [Summer]
  • Rades
  • Charlotte
  • Mimosa
  • Nebra

Best teammates for Sally to be paired with in Black Clover M.

Valtos

Skills

Valtos is an SR Sense character. Like most characters, he has 4 skills to use in the game. As a Supporter character, his skills will cater to being good in assisting his allies in the team.

He will not be able to do any debuffing like some Supporter characters, so don’t count on him to do much besides assisting his allies.

Valtos’ skills in Black Clover M.

Here are the skills you will be using as Valtos:

  • Enhanced Magic Bullet
    • Fires a magic bullet, dealing damage to an enemy.
      • Applies 10% [Increased Stamina] to an ally with the lowest Stamina.
  • Space Creation
    • Creates a space in the allies’ territory and applies a buff to all allies.
      • Applies [Increased M. ATK Lv. 3] to a designated ally for 2 turn(s).
      • Has a 50% chance of applying [Block Stamina Reduction] to an ally for 1 turn(s).
      • Applies [Increased ACC Lv. 3] to all allies for 2 turn(s). (Exclusive to the enhanced version)
  • Myriad Black
    • Fires several unpredictable magical bullets through numerous spaces, dealing damage to all enemies.
      • Applies 20% [Increased Stamina] to all allies.
  • Combined Attack
    • Applies a buff to your partner.
      • Applies [Increased CRIT Rate Lv. 5] to your partner’s attack.
      • Has a 50% chance of applying 10% [Increased Stamina] to your partner.

Gear

As Valtos is a Supporter, the most important thing for him is to survive the entire fight while being fast enough to keep buffing his allies.

With that in mind, his gear must have an emphasis with DEF and Speed. High DEF and Speed gear are important to keep Valtos alive and allow him to buff his allies and make moves before the enemy does.

With the limited number of gear slots in the game and with gear coming in different sizes depending on the rarity, we’ll have to go with 3 UR Speed gear and 3 LR DEF gear.

While DEF is important, Speed takes priority so that Valtos will be able to make the first move in any fight. LR DEF gear is enough to keep him alive.

High DEF and Speed gear in Black Clover M.

Talents

Similar to his gear, we will want Valtos to be able to withstand powerful attacks to stay alive while also being an effective support character. To do this, we will need to select the following Talents for him to use:

  • Attack Talents
    • Sharp Mind – [DMG Dealt] +5%
Talents tree in Black Clover M.

Skill Pages & Teams

As Valtos is a Supporter character, he won’t be able to make use of a lot of the Skill Pages in the game. In fact, there are 2 Skill Pages that actually work well with Valtos. Two of these Skill Pages are SR Skill Pages, and one of them is actually his own Skill Page.

Here are the Skill Pages Valtos can use to be efficient:

  • Cultist’s Retribution
    • Applies 5/20% [Increased Stamina] to yourself upon using a “Special Skill.”
  • Mysterious Ancient Book
    • Applies 7/12% [Increased Damage] to yourself.

As for Valtos’ teams, he is actually does quite well when paired with the following characters in the game:

  • Lotus Whomalt
  • Finral Roulacase
  • William Vangeance

Nozel

As mentioned earlier, Nozel’s role is a debuffer, and while he is not generally considered to be a great character to have, he still has some uses. His abilities are as follows:

  • Silver Bullets – In addition to dealing damage to the target, it has a relatively high chance of inflicting Poison for multiple turns.
  • Silver Whip – This ability deals damage to all enemies and inflicts them with Reduced Magic Attack for two turns.
  • Rain of Silver – Another ability that hits all enemies, this one also inflicts Disarm for multiple turns, which reduces damage dealt by a significant amount.
  • Combined Attack – This character’s combined attack inflicts SP -2 on the target, and it has a 60% chance of giving them a single turn of Buff Block.
  • United Attack – When paired with Fuegoleon Vermillion, his United Attack strikes all enemies and has a chance to inflict both Buff Block and Incapacitate.
  • Unique Passive – Gains 12% Fortify whenever he has three or more SP.
  • Enhanced Passive – Slightly increases his damage dealt if at least one enemy has an active debuff. Enhancing him is generally not recommended.
Black Clover M Nozel

Skill Page & Equipment Sets

Ideally, you should use his signature Royal’s Duty skill page. Its passive, which grants a small chance of applying Reduced Special Points to attackers, is not particularly great.

With that said, his signature page adds 10% increased damage for every Continuous Damage effect on the target when using Silver Whip. This makes it a great option for teams that utilize damage over time.

Alternatively, you could use Blooming Talent to add Defense Reduction to your special skill. Cunning Commander can also be great as it simply gives you the chance to reduce your enemies’ speed upon attacking.

Rose’s Thorn can also be an option if you have a team centered around dealing massive critical hits, as it gives you a chance to inflict Reduced Crit RES on each attack.

If you lack these options or simply want to boost his survivability, then you can slot it any skill page that grants bonus defense and endurance, suchas Silent Stone.

Black Clover M Nozel Skill Page

As for his gear, you simply have to maximize his speed and magic attack. For specific gear sets, you will want to build full Secret of the Deep Sea as this will grant him the most speed and ensure that he goes first.

Aside from that, the remaining gear slots can be used for a defensive set, such as The Great Merchant’s Collection. This is because you don’t want him going down immediately before you can fully utilize his debuffs.

Black Clover M Nozel Gear

Talent Trees

For Nozel’s talents, attack generally does not matter much due to his role, so you can choose Increased MATK and Battle Frenzy for this one.

Under defense, just choose the ol’ reliable Increased DEF and Endurance combo that you should be using on most characters anyway.

Finally, for the support nodes, Swiftness and Increased DMG RES works well if you will be using his special skill a lot. Otherwise, replace Swiftness with Mage’s Blessing.

Black Clover M Nozel Talent Trees

Potential Team Setups

When it comes to team setups, if you have his signature skill page, you can run a PVE team based around damage over time effects. For that setup, you will need the following characters:

  • Nozel – Debuffer that will try to capitalize on damage over time effects with his special skill.
  • Fuegoleon – In addition to enabling his and Nozel’s United Attack, he also specializes in damage over time.
  • Leopold – He can apply damage over time, and he also benefits from it.
  • Charmy (Swimsuit) – Just a generally great healer to have and will help keep this team alive.
Black Clover M Nozel Team 1

As for PVP, Nozel is not really an ideal pick for the game mode, but if you really want to use him there, slot him into a full blue team such as the following:

  • Nozel – Will have various useful debuffs that can change depending on his equipped skill page.
  • Lotus – Will provide further debuffs and help with damage somewhat.
  • Mars – Great tank that will help buy you time as this team essentially relies on winning a battle of attrition.
  • Charmy (Swimsuit) – Again, just a generally good healer and coincidentally a blue unit as well.

S3 Charlotte

For a quick summary for Charlotte in Season 3, she is a blue support character that revolves around the counterattack mechanic.

Charlotte S3 remains, in future seasons, a solid member in all-blue meta teams.

Skills & Skill Page

Charlotte’s main skill is giving an ally with the highest attack one turn of counterattack. Level up her ultimate to Lv. 5 and everyone gets guaranteed counterattack for one turn.

On top of that, she can also give attack buff to the whole team. Add her skill page into the mix, and you have Charlotte who also gives everyone one turn of guaranteed Block.

She also silences the enemy in a full-blue team for one turn. And this is all without a dupe.

Black Clover M: S3 Charlotte skills

She also has amazing combined attack which inflicts damage reduction as well as Fortify. Fortify is a separate state from Block.

For the Skill Page:

  • Her signature The Flower of the Faculty Room is the best, allowing her to buff attack and grant defense with her second skill at the same time.
  • The Instiable Quest is another great supporter skill page for that hypercarry second skill use since it adds 10% Attack increase as well.
  • The Breath of Wind s great for the immunity against Status Changes and self-heal.
  • For SR choices, Finral’s Excited Nature and Valtos’s Cultist’s Retribution are alternatives for the stamina boosts.
  • There’s also the Backlight of a Leaf in the SR category that has Stun immunity and self-heal.

Gears

The 4-pc of Secret of the Deep set is great to allow Charlotte get the first move. In fact, she has the same speed as William, which is another fastest character in the game. You want her to be able to launch her buffs and debuffs first on the field before your attacker.

Black Clover M: S3 Charlotte gears

Focus on going for survival stats on your Charlotte–DEF, Damage Res, Crit Res, or HP, you know the drill. You want her to be fast and not die, especially if you want to plug her in for PVP.

Talents

In the Attack Wheel, you don’t need to sweat much aside from Ferocity. You can take whichever other talent you want. Focus more on unlocking Support, then Defense Wheels first.

For the Defense Wheel, you’re going to want Increased DEF and then Endurance or Iron Will. Endurance is great for the DEF and Crit Res for that extra survivability

But since Charlotte can be generally tanky with the right combination and skill page, you can opt for Iron Will.

Then over at the Support Wheel, the Mage’s Blessing is one for extra attack buff from her Skill II. The Increased DMG Res is also great for extra survival. Alternatively,

Black Clover M: S3 Charlotte talents

Team Composition

Charlotte is best in a full-team of blue characters to capitalize on that Silence passive for one turn. Almost any other blue character will do well with her.

She’s great with Mars, one of the best blue tankers in the game for the stun combination attack. She’s also great with Julius because of her Attack buff and counterattack mechanic. She can also combo with Lotus for the double buff and debuff moves.

S8 Luck

Skills

First, let’s take a look at his Passives. His Passives utilize the Counterattack buff. You can obtain these buffs by using the Spark Ability.

  • If he has the Counterattack effect present, he will gain 10% Increased Damage on his attacks.
  • With Counterattack present, he will also have a 70% Reduced Damage Taken buff.

With him being a squishy character, having the damage reduced can really increase his overall survivability.

Luuck Passives

His first ability is Lightning Edge. After dealing damage, you will apply the Electrocute Debuff on an enemy. When the enemy has the effect, they will take damage equal to 20% of your ATK and M.ATK. Attacks after that can also remove the Barrier buff from your opponent.

The second ability is Spark. This is an AoE skill that you’ll want to prioritize using since it applies the Counterattack effect to all allies for 1 turn. This is a skill you want to use often since your passives benefit greatly from the effects.

His Special Ability is Lightning Stomp. This is a skill that you’ll ideally want to use when you are having the Counterattack effect present on all your allies.

When all of your allies have the Counterattack effect, the skill’s damage will be increased greatly depending on the number of instances of the buff.

The last ability is the Combined Attack effect. You’ll want to pair this character with other characters that have the Continous Damage effect, or whenever you have the Electrocute debuff present.

Luck Ultimate Skill

Skill Pages

For your Skill Pages, you can use the character’s Skill Page, which is Battle Maniac’s Hunger. This will have the following effect:

  • If Counterattack is present on self, there is a 55/100% chance to attack after granting a 20/40% Increased All ATK buff.

You will also have an upgrade on your Spark ability. It will now apply the Electrocute effect along with the other buffs.

Team Suggestions

Overall, SS8 Luck isn’t a Nuke Character, but a DPS that deals damage consistently over time. This is because his kit has a lot of damage over time effects. Some of his good teammates can be:

  • Charmy (SS2/3): She is a great healer who can protect Luck T he is ramping up his damage.
  • William Vangeance: He’s a great support character who can provide great damage buffs.
  • Charlotte [Clover Academy]: She is also another great support character who can offer great ATK buffs. Moreover, she can also provide the Counterattack effect on allies. Since Luck’s special ability scales based on the number of instances of the effect, Charlotte is always great to have on the team.

Once you have all the buffs ready, Luck can start to do insane damage to opponents and help your team win the match.

S3 Jack Academy

Skills

Clover Academy Jack is an SSR Sense Attacker, which means he is precise in his attacks, and he can do massive CRIT DMG.

His base ATK stats are great, but they can be greatly improved to make the most out of his kit.

His kit is also designed to deal enemy damage and occasionally buffing himself while debuffing his enemy, so don’t expect him to assist any of his teammates.

Here are Clover Academy Jack’s skills and what they do:

  • Three-Point Slash
    • Delivers swift slices on an enemy, dealing damage.
      • Inflicts [Bleed] on an enemy, dealing continuous damage for 2 turns.
      • When the enemy is afflicted with [Bleed] has a 50% chance to [Stun] him.
  • I’ll Slice You Up!
    • Slices up an enemy, dealing damage.
      • Applies 1 stack of [Miscalculation] to self.
      • Applies [Increased PEN Lv. 2] to self for 2 turn(s).
      • Applies [Increased ACC Lv. 2] to self for 2 turn(s).
  • Golden Ratio of Severance
    • Throws a giant protractor triangle at an enemy, dealing damage.
      • Perform an [Additional Attack] per stack of [Miscalculated], dealing additional damage equal to 80% of ATK and M. ATK to a random enemy.
      • Inflict [Stun] for 1 turn on the designated target.
  • Combined Attack
    • Performs a combined attack with your partner, dealing damage to an enemy.
      • [Dispel Barrier] from the target before attacking.
      • Perform an [Additional Attack], dealing additional damage equal to 30% of ATK and M. ATK to a random enemy.
Clover Academy Jack in Black Clover M.

Gear

Clover Academy Jack is a fast character, so we will be leaning into his Speed stat to get him to always make the first move.

While Speed is important, we also need to get his ATK up as well, which is also important if we want Jack to deal some serious damage. His CRIT DMG is already pretty high, but we can increase it a little for better stats.

With that said, the ideal and optimal gear set for Clover Academy Jack is 2 ATK gear pieces, 4 Speed gear pieces, and 1 CRIT DMG gear piece. Now, an argument can be made that we can swap out the CRIT DMG gear piece for a ATK gear piece so we can have 3 ATK gear pieces instead of 2.

That is also a valid gear set to have and use. But since Jack’s crit chance is already so high, it would make sense to increase his CRIT DMG.

One of the best gear sets for Clover Academy Jack to use in Black Clover M.

Talents

Similar to Jack’s gear set, we want him to do as much damage as possible. But we also don’t want him to lose health quickly when he’s getting attacked.

For his Talents, we need to have Talents that will increase his ATK stats while also selecting Talents that will keep him alive throughout the whole battle so he can do more damage.

Here are the best Talents for Jack to use:

  • Attack Talents
    • Increased ATK – [ATK] +7%
    • Battle Frenzy – Grants 2.5% [Increased CRIT Rate] at the start of a wave. (Stacks up to 5 times)
  • Defense Talents
    • Increased DEF – DEF +20%
    • Endurance – Grants DEF +4% and CRIT RES +2% at the start of a wave (stacks up to 5 times)
  • Support Talents
    • Mage’s Blessing – 20% chance to grant a [Reduced Skill II’s Cooldown by 1 Turn] buff at the start of a turn.
    • Increased ACC and PEN – [ACC] +5% & [PEN] +5%

S3 Fuegoleon Academy

Skills

Clover Academy Fuegoleon is an SSR Power Attacker character, which means his main purpose is to deal as much damage as he can to the enemy team.

Fuegoleon won’t be much good at helping anyone else, as his skills revolve around himself and his enemies. His skills will debuff enemies while buffing himself but won’t do much good to anyone else.

With that said, here are the skills Fuegoleon will be using:

  • Blazing Passion

      • Inflicts [Burn] on an enemy, dealing continuous damage for 2 turns.

Gear

As Clover Academy Fuegoelon is an Attacker, the best way to go about his gear is by focusing on increasing his ATK, Speed, and CRIT DMG stats.

Fuegoleon needs to do as much damage as possible, all while still being able to make the first move ahead of the enemy team. That way, you will be able to do damage at the start of a battle.

With that said, his gear needs to have a primary focus on MATK (Magic Attack). When selecting ATK, Speed, and CRIT DMG gear, the main stat that is being boosted must always be MATK.

Ideally, we will want to have 2 ATK gear pieces, 2 Speed gear pieces, and 2 CRIT DMG gear pieces to have Fuegoleon be great in battle.

But if you really want to focus on just ATK, you can always go for the second optimal gear sets by going with a 3 ATK gear piece and 3 Speed gear piece. CRIT DMG is not really needed if his base ATK stat is already big enough.

Talents

For Fuegoleon’s Talents, we want him to do as much damage as possible, similar to his gear set. But at the same time, we don’t want him to immediately die after getting hit once by an enemy.

So, the focus on his Talents will primarily be trying to keep him alive while also increasing his damage output.

Here are the best Talents for Fuegoleon to use:

  • Attack Talents
    • Increased MATK – [MATK] +7%
    • Battle Frenzy – Grants 2.5% [Increased CRIT Rate] at the start of a wave. (Stacks up to 5 times)
  • Defense Talents
    • Increased DEF – DEF +20%
    • Endurance – Grants DEF +4% and CRIT RES +2% at the start of a wave (stacks up to 5 times)
  • Support Talents
    • Mage’s Blessing – 20% chance to grant a [Reduced Skill II’s Cooldown by 1 Turn] buff at the start of a turn.
    • Increased DMG RES – [DMG RES] +10%

Finral

Skills

Finral is a SR Power Supporter, so he is mostly good in buffing up his allies, primarily with their ATK stats. He can also remove some debuffs, but not all of them.

With that in mind, his skills will primarily be all about buffing up the damage of his allies, and sometimes himself as well, as he can also do some pretty good DPS for a Supporter character.

Here are Finral’s skills and what they do:

  • Spatial Transportation Magic Bullet
    • Uses Spatial Magic to teleport a magic bullet, dealing damage to an enemy.
      • Grants [Increased SPD Lv. 2] to two allies with the lowest Mobility for 2 turn(s).
  • Faster!
    • Buffs all allies with Spatial Magic.
      • Grants all allies [Increased ATK Lv. 2] for 2 turn(s).
      • If a designated ally is buffed with [Increased CRIT Rate], grants them 10% [Increased DMG Dealt] for 2 turn(s).

      • Grants all allies [Increased SPD Lv. 3] for 2 turn(s).
      • 60% chance to [Remove 1 Debuff(s)] from an ally.
      • 50% chance to grant an ally [Increased CRIT Rate Lv. 3] for 2 turn(s).
  • Combined Attack
    • Buffs the partnered mage.
      • Grants partnered mage [Increased ATK Lv. 4].
      • 50% chance to grant 50% [Increased Mobility] to the partner.

Gear

Finral is a character that will be useful in buffing up his allies in the game. While he does have good DPS for a Supporter character, his main use will be to buff his allies.

With that said, we will need to have his gear set focus primarily on Speed. The faster Finral can make his move first, the faster your other units can get buffed and end the battle.

To get the best out of Finral’s Speed stats, we will need him to have an all Speed gear set. It’s recommended to have at least 1 UR Speed gear piece.

All the other slots can be filled with LR Speed gear pieces afterwards. But if you want, you can always put in some DEF gear pieces to help keep your Finral alive.

I personally recommend doing a 2 DEF gear set and 4 Speed gear set if you are playing in harder modes. But if you have a good Healer, then you won’t need 2 DEF gear pieces and can just use the all Speed gear set.

Talents

For Finral’s Talents, we will be focusing on increasing his ATK and DEF. Since his gear set is already primarily focused on increasing his Speed stats, we can make use of his Talent slots and upgrade his ATK and DEF stats.

Here are the best Talents for Finral to use:

  • Attack Talents
    • Increased ATK – [ATK] +7%
    • Battle Frenzy – Grants 2.5% [Increased CRIT Rate] at the start of a wave. (Stacks up to 5 times)
  • Defense Talents
    • Increased DEF – DEF +20%
    • Endurance – Grants DEF +4% and CRIT RES +2% at the start of a wave (stacks up to 5 times)
  • Support Talents
    • Swiftness – Grants a [SP+1] buff upon having less than 2 SP(s) at the start of a turn.
    • Increased DMG RES – [DMG RES] +10%

Skill Pages & Teams

Since Finral is a Supporter, there’s not a lot of good Skill Pages he can use, as most of them won’t resonate well with his supporting skills.

However, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t. There are actually only a handful of good Skill Pages he can use. There are 2 SSR Skill Pages and only 1 SR Skill Pages.

Here are the best Skill Pages for Finral to use:

  • SSR Skill Pages
    • The Captain’s Condemnation
      • Upon using [Skill II,] grants the ally with the lowest HP [HP Recovery] equal to 6/10% of their maximum HP.
